Anyone heard anything about Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama? I know their program is fairly new but wondering if anyone out there has heard good/bad/in-different?
Thanks,
Ben

I have my letter of thanks but no thanks. I am just interested. Would those of you who get the "come on down" letter please post some of you stats...GPA> GRE> Experience.....Congrats to those who get an interview...I know you have truly worked hard.

I applied to Samford this year as well, but didn't get a letter today!
Kinda worried, not gonna lie.
3.5 undergrad GPA
3.65 science GPA
3.75 graduate GPA (5 classes. Main ones that I think helped adv. patho, adv. pharm. taught by Samford teachers at UAB, anesthesia research and stats offered by UAB, an A in each) Also worked full time while going to school full time to show good time management.
1030 GRE, probably what hurt me the most
1 year ICU exp. with CCRN, ACLS, BLS.

Didn't get my letter yet but I'm confident as I talked to some of the staff in person.
4.0 M and S
3.73 Nursing
3.85 overall
1220 GRE

does any body know how many applicants there were total?

I havent heard anything yet either. Hopefully tomorrow
They usually get a little more than twice the number they interview
I think she means the number of applicants not the interviewees. I think a good guess would be about 300-400. No way to really tell.
If you were asking for interviewees it's 23 spots and 60 interviews. Coming to a whopping 38% chance if you get a interview letter.
I got my letter today! I got an interview! :bowingpur
congrats! good luck with the interview
