Samford University Anyone?

Who applied to Samford ths year?

Does anyone know how many people they interview? Also, the secretary told me they decide and let you know by the end of the interview week.

Interviewing about 50 something and accepting about 25. Wonderful odds, but it is VERY competitive this year.

My first day was Monday, January 7. As packed as the semester will be, I'm sure they will start on January 5. That's just my guess. First semester is pretty tough. Summer semester isn't so bad. I will have to get back to you on the Fall semester, but I hear that it is going to be a wild ride too. Good Luck with the interviews everyone. Me and several of my classmates will be there to answer any questions that you may have.

Hey there! I interviewed with Samford as well and still have not heard anything. I interviewed on the 27th and was told they would send out notification after Labor Day. When I hadn't heard anything by last Friday I emailed Mrs. Carter and the reply said they had sent out letters to everyone Thursday and I could expect something by at least Monday in the mail. So now it's Wednesday and I still haven't received anything and my mailing address is in Cullman, AL so I don't think it should be taking this long. Oh well.... I suppose if I don't go crazy first, I will become a more patient person.

I was accepted; however, they called me last Wednesday. I live near Samford and got my acceptance letter on Friday. Therefore, I know they sent letters out.

I'm an alternate...I didn't get my letter until Wednesday; and I live pretty close to Samford! I think maybe my postman doesn't like me:wink2:

I was accepted. Good Luck Jess. I hope you get a call. A friend of mine was an alternate at UAB and she pretty much counted them out this year. So she applied to Samford with us and gt an interview. In August right before interviews she got a call to start UAB in 2 weeks. So keep up hope, I know it can happen, I have seen it!

I am an alternate also. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a late call from Samford,but am interviewing at UTHSC tomorrow. Wish me luck!
