Samford University Anyone?

Does anybody know what the interview was like last year at Samford? Do they ask alot of clinical questions or no? If anybody has any answers, let me know.

You might get a clinical question or two. Be prepared. But the clinical questions that you get are related to your current clinical practice. Questions that my classmates and I got were all different, but they were tailored to what we did every day. The interview is pretty much a meet and greet kind of thing. All of the instructors that will be interviewing you are extremely nice. I hope that everything goes well for everyone. I'm going to try to come up there on the interview days and meet as many of you as I can.

I did too. I am a 24 yo travel nurse that just got done with an assignment. I know letters are supposed to go out this week about interviews. It looks like quite a few people applied, but just in case, can someone tell me what kinds of questions to expect in an interview? I would appreciate it very much! Also, since I would like to go ahead and do one more travel assignment (wishful thinking I get accepted of course) rather soon, does anyone know if Samford has set interview times or if they are willing to work with your schedule?

I got my invitation letter also! I have heard that the interview process includes quite a bit of clinical questions but everyone on the interview committee is extremely nice. What have you guys heard?

Did anybody else's letter say that interview are Aug. 27-29 and then acceptance letters will go out at the end of August? I didn't think to ask when I scheduled my interview, but surely they meant September, right??

If you get in, you will know pretty quick. I was in the last day of the interviews for the class of 2009 and the director called me on my cell after the interview before I was even out of B'ham! If you do not hear something soon after the last day of the interviews, it is NOT good!

Good Luck! I did not have a single clinical question in 2006. Samford is a great program with a alot of nice people. I chose another program because of location and clinical site. It was really hard turning them down, but I made the right decision for me ad it has turned out well!
