Sam Houston State University Spring 2021

Published

Hi everyone! I decided to make a post for everyone applying at Sam Houston State University for Spring 2021. I have my TEAS in three weeks and I'm honestly really nervous.. Here are my stats:

Pre-req GPA: 3.71

cumulative GPA: 3.75

And I'm trying to obtain a 90 for the reading and math section on the TEAS exam.

Hi all! Just wanted to update here that the "second wave" of SHSU emails to the waitlist have gone out. They have until Tuesday (October 27th) to accept their spot, and someone else mentioned that this will happen on a weekly basis until the cohort is filled.

I wanted to update this thread to celebrate being pulled off the waitlist, much to my surprise! I received an email on 11/3 and had until 11/5 at midnight to accept or decline my seat. My stats were shared earlier in this thread.

Hey everyone, I forgot to update on this forum but in the previous post I put I was waitlisted. Then on 10/16/2020 around 12 PM, I was admitted. I had a week from that date to accept my spot.

I wanted to update this thread for future applicants so they have some insight on Sam's nursing program.

I decided to withdraw my acceptance to Sam Houston State University for the Spring term because I didn't want to move to the Woodlands or deal with what would have been a 50 minute commute via tollway. In addition, this program is a five semester program that splits off nursing theory and pathophysiology, and you cannot move these classes to another semester to get ahead. I opted for a different traditional program in Houston instead that's accessible by car or public transportation.

I plan to keep my account active, so if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or mention me in the next thread and I'll be sure to help where I can!
