Hi, I created this for pre-nursing students who are applying to the BSN program at Sam Houston State University for the Fall of 2020. I am taking the TEAS exam two weeks from now. So far, these are my stats:

Cumulative GPA: 3.8

Pre-Nursing GPA: 3.74

Hello everyone!! I’m using the NursingCAS program to apply for fall ‘20 but I’m having issues sending my lonestar transcript to nursingCAS because it’s asking me for their email since it’s digital (can’t find it anywhere), and connecting my “transcript number” to the transcript itself. Has anyone else experienced this or knows what I’m doing wrong? :) TIA

OMG! This happened to me. I ended up having to send my transcript in twice. The first time I submitted it it asked for an email for NursingCas and it didn't provide a space for the Transcript ID. For whatever reason, the second time around the fields were totally different, they didn't ask for an email and they had a space for the ID. I emailed NursingCas, they never received my first transcript from LoneStar, I used the [email protected] email that they provide at the bottom of their webpage. They don't allow for transcripts to be received via email so I had to resend it.

This is what the form SHOULD look like. But the first time around, it didn't for me. Not sure why! But if it doesn't look like this, do not submit it, you'll end up having to pay twice. ?

It only gave me the option to send it electronically!! Was that one of the things that changed the second time you tried? I wasn’t able to select physical mail.

Hello,

I am reapplying to the SHSU nursing program because I didn’t get in for the Fall 2019. My TEAS score is Reading: 70.2 Math: 87.5. I am planning on retaking the TEAS soon.

My nursing GPA is 3.54

Overall GPA is 3.48 (waiting for final grade for this semester)

probably won’t get in again but I’m hoping.

I applied with the TEAS scores! but my GPA was lower because I got a C in nutrition but I retook it this semester and got an A and got all A’s in my other classes as well so my GPA will be a little higher. I keep getting a 70 on my TEAS because of the science section tho so I’m trying to study a lot more to get a higher score but if I don’t imma have to use that score again.

Which grade attempt of the repeated courses would they take to calculate our GPA?

I'm guessing that if you repeated a course and you got a better grade, they will take the second attempt with the higher grade. I'm not sure but I would think that that's what they do.
