Hi, I created this for pre-nursing students who are applying to the BSN program at Sam Houston State University for the Fall of 2020. I am taking the TEAS exam two weeks from now. So far, these are my stats:
Cumulative GPA: 3.8
Pre-Nursing GPA: 3.74
update...
I have spoken to my counselor and she stated the following:
Typically students who get accepted have a GPA between a 3.5-3.7. Every Fall and Spring semester, 90-100 students get taken as a cohort to The Woodlands, Texas.

It doesn't say on their website, but most schools say only twice. I'm not sure if SHSU has a limit though
You are able to take it as many times as you want. SHSU will take the highest score.

I'm currently working on my hesi exam cos I'm also applying to lonestar and prairie view but Sam Houston is my first choice cos it's more manageable for me and my GPA is 3.76 I guess hopefully I get in I'm a transfer student from Lonestar so I don't have those extra points sam Houston students will get for taking Sam's classes no cna either and will probably be taking the teas around April after my hesi this month I will start studying for teas any tips to study please. And I pray we all get accepted thanks for creating this but the way????

Can someone explain to me their point system for decisions? I am interested in the program and plan on going to an informational session in the next couple of months, but I was just curious if anyone could provide some insight.

Hi Justina,
I believe the Pre-Nursing GPA are only the pre-requisite courses by SHSU. Your overall or cumulative GPA counts for every class that you have taken so far.
Thanks but what if some other classes I have taken so far doesn't have nothing to do with nursing will they still be counted ??

Does anyone knows what is good score for the teas test? I got
80.9 in reading
87.5 in math
should I retake it? I’m also applying to the BSN program
my overall gpa is 4.0
nursing gpa 4.0
