Sam Houston State University (FALL 2020)

Published

Hi, I created this for pre-nursing students who are applying to the BSN program at Sam Houston State University for the Fall of 2020. I am taking the TEAS exam two weeks from now. So far, these are my stats:

Cumulative GPA: 3.8

Pre-Nursing GPA: 3.74

Same here I have no experience and no shsu and haven't take n the tead but my GPA is 3.6 for both nurisng prerequisite and overall I guess so I need to get high scores on TEAS hevnt started studying much lost all motivation

I was planning on retaking my TEAS but with all that is going on I doubt it I’ll have time, everything it’s closed. I guess I’ll apply with what I got

reading score 81

math 88

I hope it’s enough since I have a good GPA.

Don’t lose motivation!! We’ll get through this!!

Thanks. What did u use to study and how long?

Hey y'all! I was considering applying for the fall 2020 and my pre reqs would be roughly a 3.45, with a cumulative of roughly 3.2. It's not the best which has me worried but I have a TEAS score of 82.7 with a 96-97 on math and 82-83 on reading, do y'all think it's worth it to apply?

For sure! I think anything in the 80’s as an overall TEAS test grade is worth trying at least! SHSU has a great program so go for it.

Hi! I think that you should go for it! You have a goo test score and even though your GPA is not super high, it might compensate with your TEAS score. I have a higher GPA than yours but a lower TEAS score. I think that you have good stats. Good luck! ?

Hey guys!! I'm applying to SHSU Fall 2020 as well. I'm super excited and hopeful. I just finished up my application and I'm getting ready to submit it to NursingCas.

Does anyone know if admission are rolling admissions? Will you get accepted/rejected before the deadline?

No. Most of us haven't even taken the TEAS yet. And u only get decisions about 45 days after deadline

Did they happen to say that at the info session? I can't find information on it anywhere. ?

Oh and these are my stats! :

TEAS Overall: 90%

Math: 96.9

Reading: 93.6

Overall GPA: 3.74

Nursing GPA: 4.0

No CNA certification, SHSU hours, or previous experience (other than employment at a clinic).

I wanted to take a second attempt at the TEAS, but with everything closed it's been a struggle. I'm going to submit my application with this score.

Hey guys! Just wanted to say good luck to everyone applying! I will be going to utmb this fall so that’s one more spot for y’all.
