Is there a link you forgot to put in the post? Or should I google it?
I read that book years ago - very very good. And since I've been to Vietnam twice with a medical mission, means even more to me.
Computer acting up when added video-- link now viewable Spidey's mom.
Growing up in 60's, I remember the only persons who were praised were the nurses and doctors --servicemen were spit upon when they returned. Glad we've come to our senses and suporting returning Vets now. Kudos to Mrs Obama and Mrs Biden as they have really worked on supporting our military families.
I hope to see the Vietnam Women's Memorial next time I'm passing through Washington, DC area.
Vietnam Women's Memorial
From Winki:
The Vietnam Women's Memorial is a memorial dedicated to the women of the United States who served in the Vietnam War, most of whom were nurses. It serves as a reminder of the importance of women in the conflict. It depicts three uniformed women with a wounded soldier. The woman looking up is named Hope, the woman praying is named Faith, and the woman tending to a wounded soldier is named Charity. It is part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and is located on National Mall in Washington DC, a short distance south of The Wall, north of the Reflecting Pool.
