Salary Pay for Fresenius Medical or Davita?

Updated:   Published

Hi..I have an interview with Fresenius Medical (FMC) in New Jersey. I am a new nurse (new grad). Does anyone know what the starting salary or hourly pay is for a new grad starting out at FMC?

LapoRtaN-I can't private message you back. I haven't had enough posts yet. Are you going for acute or chronic?

Specializes in Nephrology.

I'm going to chronic out patient I believe. R u working for FmC in a hospital?

Yes, I will be in the hospitals so I think it is quite different than the clinic setting. I have a max of two patients at a time. I have to be able to set up and break down the machines to take to bedside if necessary. It is nursing with technology and plumbing thrown together. I may be the only dialysis person in the hospital at times. Since I don't know much about the chronic setting, I can't really give you much insight, sorry, but so far my experience has been very good. The people I work with are wonderful and so ready to teach. I hope you get the position and have a good experience.

Specializes in Nephrology.

Thanks for the info 

Non-compete contracts do not hold up out of state either.

hey guys,

I work in a Fresenus in Ct. I have 3+ yrs dialysis tech experience, and am a new grad. RN salary for a new grad w/ benefits for an RN = $29.17. My clinic is only open 3 days a week, 14 hr shifts, but I get 4 days off !:nurse:

For those in Illinois. I've heard that FMC is getting rid of all their acute techs and going to RN only. Has anyone else heard this? I love the idea of RN only, but can't imagine where they will find enough RN's.

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Hmm - I'm in central IL and one of the acute units is run by FMC and they still have techs. The other acute unit is owned by that particular hospital and they only have RNs.
