Saipan Application For NCLEX

Published

Hi there, I have been hearing stories of foreign nurses (primarily filipinos) processing their NCLEX application with SAIPAN BON. I have researched some things and learned that, Saipan BON requirements are much easier to comply and within 2 months they will send your ATT. Credential evaluation and Background screening is not required by SAIPAN BON, it is also cheaper..

Im just wondering how things will be in applying for SAIPAN NCLEX, like reciprocity in other states, background screening in other states, or compact licencing.

Im processing my nclex for TXBon right now and thought that it would be easier for me to do it with SaipanBON. Can I have some of your opinions about this?

Basically you should do your application to the state BON you plan on living and working in as you generally (not always) have to meet the same requirements when endorsing a license.

Hello Centraliannurse. I just want to reply to your post because i share the same question and will also wait for the replies of the experts here... Ilonggo too ;)

Silverdragon is right. Apply where you are going to work, if not, apply to a BON that has computerized system so that application of RN license by endorsement, if you ever need to do it, is easier. This is a personal experience. I am having a hard time applying for license for endorsement to another State because Saipan would take its sweet time to respond to request for verification of license. When applying for an RN license to another State, they want a verification of license from all the other State that you are and have been licensed with. And dealing with Saipan BON in this regard is a painful experience.

So if you can apply in Texas, go for your Texas BON application. It's like, " apply for NCLEX in Saipan in haste, repent in leisure in dealing with Saipan BON for your future endorsement applications".

Texas BON will not issue a license unless you have Social Security Number.

California will issue a license without a Social Security Number and they accept ITIN. I am sure other will as well.

I would find the state you want to work and try to apply there, If you have to endorse then maybe Saipan might be way to go at first to get initial License., but I looked at their website it sure like an 8th grader wrote it.

I don't have word on this laptop and I wasn't able to read their requirements.

Before applying into a state such as CA, just know that very few nurses and grads coming in from the PH have been granted the ATT or a license from another state (via endorsement) since Nov. 2011, due to the strict enforcement of the CA BRN concurrency rules.

Unless you know that ALL of your cases and clinicals were done in the exact same semester together and not a week or two before or after and not 1-2 years before or after and completed by the time you graduated. CA application fees are not refundable, whether you are approved or declined and they will give you up to 3 years to complete your application or the application is considered abandoned.

If you know that you're missing one or more of the cases/clinical done together, the application will be rejected and most likely need to either find the deficient courses or re-take the entire nursing program....just read thru this forum tab section and you'll find there are very few successful candidates who have passed thru the CA BRN requirements. It's not impossible but pretty much difficult, as there are thousands of other international applicants also trying to get enrolled in these deficient courses with the same 3 year limitation.

Many of the CA schools have 2-3-4 years of a waiting list and of those many can cost up to $14,000. Some CA schools have offered them but not on a consistent basis due to budgeting issues, lack of open spaces or in some cases, it caused their NCLEX-RN passing rates to drop and the CA BRN looks at those numbers and the school's have decided to close the program to the foreign applicants as it does count against the school. Just need to read thru these threads and you'll find them posted by others.

As Pinaymdrn stated, apply into TX as that's where the thousands unable to get into CA are now flocking to. TX has become the easiest, fastest and cheapest state to get into compared to CA.

TX is way less restrictive, you don't need a SSN to apply and like in CA, one can apply for the ITIN afterwards (which I understand that's how many are getting passed the SSN need for license issuance). There are also more job opportunities in TX as opposed to the tight job market in CA.

CA has so many documentation requirements including copies of ALL your passport pages (in many cases) and the need for further school transcripts and signed cases and if one can't provide them, you can go thru the appeals process, but CA BRN usually stands by their initial decision (of the declination).

Thanks for everyhting guys now im just waiting my CES from CGFNS:) im goin for TX now and just playing the waiting game. any of you guys have a clue how long will the cgfns finish my CES evaluation?

Hello guys. I'm in great need of help!! I just passed my NCLEX for Saipan but I'm planning to work at New York. Is endorsement possible?

I received A LOT of advice that NCLEX processing in Saipan is more convenient so I decided to apply in their state. I'm planning to work at New York probably next year so I'm trying to figure out the steps that I had to do. I searched online but it's not that clear so I'm humbly asking you, my fellow nurses, for a little help and advice. How do I request for license verification at Saipan cause I heard how hard it is to contact or get a reply from them? How do I start with the endorsement process? Thanks a lot!!!

You have to go through CVS with CGFNS regardless as NY requires it for all IENs

i am planning to transfer my NCLEX California to Saipan. first, should i submit to them the 2 authorization letters and request to accept nclex score? should i send them simultaneously with application form? third, i have my transcripts on hand (certified true copy) is it ok if ill be the one to send them the TOR? lastly, should i write a request letter also to the CA BRN for my NCLEX score?

moreover, im a little bit confuse because my agency gave me a sample request letter addressed to CA BRN stating that i am requesting CA BRN to send my NCLEX score to CGFNS and the fee is 100us$ in bankdraft.

any opinions, answers and facts will be greatly appreciated. thank you.
