Has anyone attended st xavier? or no anything about their nursing program? Im considering either Trinity christian college or Saint Xavier, anything would help.

Thanks everyone!

Indeed. I hope the lady i spoke to is correct.

Coming from california, im on a budget, cant fly back and

Forth to campuses requiring test taking on work days etc... :/ but i just applied to 2 campuses chicago state university and sxu. I hope for sxu.

Basically i was looking for a campus with a program that would not put me through a difficult process :))

OMG you're coming here from California?? WHY???????????????????????? LOL I applied to CSU also.. are you following me? lol:lol2: Seriously, what made you want to come here? What part of California are you from? San Francisco is one of my favorite places EVER of all time! I love it there! and San Diego has the best weather in the US..HANDS DOWN!

Hahahhaa! Im from orange county. San diego is beautiful and san francisco is fun! Im moving for the school. California is nearly impossible to attempt... A waitlist can be years... And their requirements are getting ridiculous... Im moving with my

Older sister who is attending loyola for grad school...

Haha csu too!? My concern about that school is safety. Heardthe neighborhood isnt safe... Also read about how they take a hesi exit exam that determines if u pass the program.. If u do then u can take the boards exam. Thats how they keep their pass rate so high.

That's cool that you're moving with your sister! I completely understand about waiting for years go get into schools! I hope you get into one of those schools. I applied to a couple of schools in Indiana, as well as other private schools, and one CC for LPN. Do you guys know where you are going to be living?

Yah, I heard the neighborhood where CSU is is kinda shady..but I've lived in Chicago so long..it's no big deal.... there are not so great neighborhoods everywhere because Chicago is so big! Yah, I heard that about the HESI...but I think a few schools were doing that also..there was huge thing a couple of years ago about the City Colleges did that and a bunch of people just got amnesty maybe in the fall or something like that. You can do a search on here and find it.

Ah..Loyola.. the school my parents think I graduated from! :lol2:

currently my sister is located in the city next to loyola campus. For Saint Xavier there was something about May 1st being a Priority deadline, do you happen to know what this pertains to? I'll give the campus a call, I forgot about the 2 hour difference between Illinois and California.

That should be Evanston that she lives in! I love Evanston! No, I don't know about the May 1st thing because I thought it was May 15th.. I think that's what the email I got said. And I do recall a date of maybe May 3rd available to take the TEAS test.. I'm taking it May 7th though at another school.

Let me know what you find out when you call!

I am applying for admission to Saint Xavier to begin Fall 2011 as a transfer student, I'm not sure I'll get in. My TEAS V score was decent but not competitive. Does anyone know by when applicants should know if they are accepted or not?

Thanks :)

Well the deadline was on the 15th so it might be awhile. Did you ask them when they are deciding?

@aselva

The deadline for their Nursing program is on November 15. I called around the second week of December, I may be a little off with the date but I heard from them right away. However, even after you get in, you have to go there as an undergrad for a semester before you can start the program. When I got in, I was still taking my pre-reqs and had to wait a semester or two to start because I was short on the requirement but they still re-considered me but delayed my start date for the program. The thing is, their Nursing program is 5 semesters long and it can get expensive too, but I loved going to SXU. I am still considering if I should pursue their Nursing program even after being accepted to another one that's closer to home. It's a tough decision but nowadays, I have to be practical especially with cost and time. I will surely miss this school. Don't worry too much about the TEAS exam. Do well on your essay and maintain a good GPA. You'll be fine.

I have also applied to csu and sxu. has anyone recieved any letters.

Im trying to apply to sxu for the lpn to bsn. I have a 3.5 gpa but they say they wont accept more than 1 D or W I have 1 D but when I redid the class I got an A .. I have a few Withdrawals too..Do you guys think they will overlook the D and withdrawals? How heavily do the withrawals hurt your chances of getting in? :lol2:
