Hello! im also attempting to apply here at Saint Xavier.

Hello! im also attempting to apply here at Saint Xavier.

I applied..but I kinda doubt I'll get in. I just have to take the TEAS test... Because of that whole thing were you have to take 12 credit hours before getting in the nursing program....that's the one thing that makes me not want to go there. I have over 200 credit hours from Loyola and Wright College combined.. me having to take 12 credit hours.. there isn't anything that I could possibly need to take therefore making it a waste of money!

I also have to take the TEAS V test which is scheduled on the 28th. I read about taking those courses too!! why do you doubt youself? I doubt myself on how they will calculate my GPA from the previous schools i've attended.

Yep..the good ole GPA.. When I went to Loyola..back in the day.. my mother MADE ME major in what she wanted me to major in(Finance..GROSS) because they were paying for it and I wasn't allowed to major in what I wanted to major in..so I didn't give a sh*t.. I just did enough to get by.. I never graduated.. and actually to this day..they have no clue that I never graduated..lol :lol2: I looked to see if Loyola had that Program where you can drop certain grades if they are over a certain number of years old..but they don't have it. I'm going to take it sometime early May...I'll be out of town the last week of April But I really still don't know if I want to have to pay for all those credit hours that I don't need at all!

We have a similar situation when it comes to family wanting our education. I also did not graduate from the first school i attended, but received an associate degree at my local community college. If I get accepted, I would have to cough up the money/loan to take those extra courses, it would be worth it in the long run. So if you get accepted, I say... take the offer :p.

the thing about applying to their nursing program is that i havent completed all of the pre-reqs they require before starting the program. So a few courses such as... microbio, chem? i would have to complete. I spoke to a representative who said it was fine i didnt complete those courses, that i can complete them once being accepted into the school under the nursing major. once i complete the sciences with those extra 3 required courses then i would be able to start the program (which only happens every fall and spring).. do you have information about that? or if im wrong?

I didn't know that hon..but that does make sense! Especially with the whole 12 hours before getting in thing. I suppose if they had criminal justice classes that I could take that..because I'm also getting a bachelor's in Criminal Justice & Criminology.

I'll see if I get accepted...I've applied to several schools..I only expect to get in like 2 of them though. Did you apply anywhere else?

Forth to campuses requiring test taking on work days etc... :/ but i just applied to 2 campuses chicago state university and sxu. I hope for sxu.

Basically i was looking for a campus with a program that would not put me through a difficult process :))
