Hi! Has anyone else applied to Saint Mary’s for the next cohort? Any ideas on what their current process is for applicants?

I was informed that decisions for interviews will be made in early to mid fall.

I woke admissions to ask. They are still reviewing process for becoming DNP and won’t be looking at applications until September

Did anyone else get that new email they just sent out? 

Does this mean that those of us that applied to the masters program are being taken into the DNP program instead?

I didn't even see a DNP option at the time I applied, only a masters option. 

I don't mind either way but I'm just curious if I'm reading this information correctly or not. 

Also it says that we can edit our application up until October? But when I go back to my application it doesn't allow me to edit it. So I'm confused on if I'm being taken into the masters or doctorate program. 

Also this was taken from their new updated DNP website: 

"Many other states require CRNAs to obtain APRN licensure from their state board in order to practice. At this time, Saint Mary’s is unable to verify whether its graduate program in Nurse Anesthesia will meet educational requirements for CRNA certification or APRN licensure in any jurisdiction outside of Minnesota. Students should check with their state board of nursing to verify eligibility for certification or licensure in their state."

^^ I'm sure eventually other states will allow us to work in their states, but that message sounds kind of concerning no? What do you all make of that?

Yeah the unable to verify part makes me nervous but I’m sure they are trying to fix that.

The email said end of October, early November for interview offers. 
 

what does that bit about certification mean? will it be valid in other states?
