Hello,
My name is Les. I began my college career as a biology student... I decided about a year ago that I wanted to be nurse... I enrolled at SIUE as a prenursing student. At first it was really important to me that I get a BSN , but now I'm thinking of getting an ADN because of I have two small children. I can't afford to be in school forever. I want to go to Forest Park.. I already know quite a bit about the Nursing program there.( I went to school there for a semester), but I wanted to know how long the wait list is .. I've heard conflicting information. I've that the wait can be anywhere from 3 years to 6 months. Can anyone in the program(at any campus) tell me how long they waited???
If your trying to get ahold of someone at forest park it's best to just go up there if you can. I tried calling and calling and I never got any answers. I went up there today and I got all my questions answered in 5 minutes. I will start at either forest park or Meramec in the spring! Meramec is better about getting questions answered over the phone.
Anytime! I applied to all 3 campuses. I got on the waitlist in May 2010, i was accepted into Flo's programs to start this fall, but i waved my acceptance because i didn't have A&P finished yet. So as of right now its been about a year and a half. I'm having a hard time trying to decide between Meramec and Forest Park for this Spring.
Hey everyone who still would like to attend Forest Park for Nursing, I just wanted to let those who are very interested in getting in faster to go to the admissions office and ask for ******* ****(she handles the Nursing admits), and just tell her that you REALLY REALLY want to get in for what ever semester is getting ready to come up , expecially if you are at a number 100 or less, I was at # 85 in Sept, 2011 and I went in to see her on 2 different occasions and expressed how much I needed and wanted to get in for Spring 2012, about week later I got a letter in the mail saying I was accepted into the Spring 2012 semester...good luck
