I’m in the same boat. But I ended up accepting SAC by their deadline. I was under the impression that if I still get accepted to Saddleback I can then rescind my spot at Santa Ana and accept Saddleback. Of course I feel bad doing that. But Saddleback just works best for me. Either way I’ll be fine since I’m happy I have a spot after applying/waiting 3 years.

Lectures being online does definitely help. I work in San Diego, but think that doing clinicals and working in San Diego (16-24 hours per week) would be very taxing and I would get burned out quickly.
I've done the whole full-time work and full-time course load for years. My mental health is a priority and I want to do well in these courses, aiming for straight As as I intend to obtain more advanced degrees.
What are your thoughts?
I've had to work throughout both semesters. I worked roughly 15-20 hours a week at a restaurant(usually Friday/Saturday, sometimes Thursdays), and usually babysat Wednesday nights. Be aware that most hospital sites require you to go the day before to pick out your patients, and you do an entire write-up on your patient that takes 5-6 hours the night before clinical. Having to work and having school made me make the most of my time, so if you need to work, its totally doable. The first semester is something totally different that what you have experienced before, and it takes a lot of adjusting. I would reduce my hours if I were in your position. I personally get a little stir crazy only doing one thing. So working at a restaurant was a good escape from nursing coursework, and improved my time management. Honestly, I'm struggling more now due to no work and not having to go to school.

I applied to both as well but live like 3 minutes from Santa Ana College. Unfortunately I’m an alternate as of right now . I’m also still waiting on Saddleback response as I did apply ☺️ I’d say accept your offer if it’s your only acceptance right now. However if you end up getting accepted into Saddleback call Santa Ana back and rescind you’re offer. LOL there are many people like me waiting to get a spot from the alternate list ??
