Saddleback Nursing Fall 2016

Published

Hey there!

I am applying for Saddleback's nursing program for fall 2016! Does anyone know the average amount of points students need to get accepted or the lowest they have previously taken? Who else is applying for fall 2016?! Good luck to everyone!!!

ewhite93-I am coming in on the low side for Saddleback between 56-61 depending on where they put my healthcare work experience. Fingers and toes crossed for all of us! Hope the wait flies by.

Ok I finally turned everything in today. Talk about down to the wire. So my points are actually 59-64. Hoping to be on the 64 side. Did everyone else get everything submitted?

Oh right on thats great! I'm turning mine in today as well.. I called and talked to someone in the health sciences office and she said that they do not just look at how many points you have, she said they take everything into consideration. That made me feel a a lot better because I thought I was going to make the 1,000 hour marker as a medical assistant to get the extra 8 points and I didn't so my points dropped a lot:/ she also said they extended the deadline, I'm assuming because there weren't very many applicants, which is good lol this wait is going to be torture.

Hi there! I was checking the Saddleback nursing website to see if they would extend the date and they did. I only assume it is because they didn't have enough applicants. I only have 56 points but I have taken every class I could possibly take to get in so I hope they consider that. The only down fall for me is that I do not work directly with patients, so I would not gain those extra chuck of points. :( The wait is definitely nerve wrecking. I hope we all get in together.

I am so glad you guys didn't tell me the deadline had been extended earlier in the day...I would've prolonged turning it in for no reason haha

A weight was lifted once I turned it in í ½í¸…

I am thinking if I leave school nursing (which is what I'm leaning toward) I will make it about my family. Maybe when my kids go to college school nursing will be a better fit. I mean we won't have all day volleyball tournaments, basketball games ect. After work won't be get home grab a sandwich and get back in the car for practices. I just don't know where to go next

Hi holken99! Are you applying this Fall to Saddleback's nursing program? Having kids is definitely a task of its own. Trying to juggles work, school, family and practices for your children is definitely time consuming. I was worried about going into nursing school with a 1 and 4 year old but family support is what will help most.

I also will be doing the family/nursing school juggle with my 7 and 10 year olds. Super exited for any opportunities coming this way.

Awwww, that's awesome! You have two kids too. Now I will not feel worried about being the only mommy :D . I am super excited as well. I just cant wait for the letters to be mailed out. It will be a dream come true to be accepted.

Hi! I applied for Fall 2016 as well! Hopefully we all get in! Does anyone know how many seats are available for Fall? I'm also wondering if the extension increases our chances of getting in or decreases it? How did everyone do on their teas test?

NikkiRN2bee - I am also wondering how many students they accept for fall. My teas score is 85.3

I wish they wouldn't have extended the deadline to get more applicants! Haha I liked our chances better before the extension :whistling:
