Saddleback Nursing Fall 2016

Hey there!

I am applying for Saddleback's nursing program for fall 2016! Does anyone know the average amount of points students need to get accepted or the lowest they have previously taken? Who else is applying for fall 2016?! Good luck to everyone!!!

Has anyone heard about how many total applicants there were? I wish they would post updates on the college website lol This wait is killing me:nailbiting:

Hello fellow applicants!

I just wanted to join in. I too have kids and am nervous, yet excited to hopefully start this journey in the fall. My youngest just turned 1 and my oldest turns 4 in couple of weeks.

Did anyone go to the last info session? I'm curious to know what the employment opportunities are like for new grads from the program who are starting on their BSN right away.

Hi! I didn't. I thought about applying to the Accelerated BSN program at Cal State Fullerton, but I decided to focus on Saddleback. I have heard such great things about it. Also, it's close to home and affordable. I do plan on applying to the bridge program at CSUF, however.

Have you been to any of the latest info.

Hi holken99! Are you applying this Fall to Saddleback's nursing program? Having kids is definitely a task of its own. Trying to juggles work, school, family and practices for your children is definitely time consuming. I was worried about going into nursing school with a 1 and 4 year old but family support is what will help most.

Hi Moana, Your little ones are the same age as mine. Are you planning on having them in daycare/preschool or do you have family to watch them?

Hello lis_18 :). My daughter will finish preschool this June. She will begin kindergarten in August. My mother-in-law watches my son right now. My husband and I plan on asking her to drop off/pick up my daughter from school if possible. They are all aware of my plans for nursing school and they are all very supportive so they will be my helping hand through school. Are you able to have a relative watch your kids while you are in school? It is tough to prepare yourself for such a drastic change with children. My husband and I decided to move in with my in laws to make it easier on our finances/child care.

Hopefully sometime next week. I believe they said mid-April. Unless they were able to screen all their applicants sooner than expected. It shouldn't be too much longer :cautious:

Hello everyone. I called the office Monday morning and the lady told me the letters are going out at the end of April. I wish all of you the best and I believe we will all get in. :up:

Ahhh so nerve racking!! Ok I will be checking my mail box everyday the last week of April lol thanks so much for the info and best of luck to everyone!!!
