Saddleback College Fall 2015

Published

Hi there!

I just submitted my application for fall of 2015, didn't find a fall 2015 board so figured I'd start one! Who else is applying? I've seen on previous semesters that people knew the total amount of applicants-anyone know the total amount for this semester or how to find out? I have 85 (possibly 87) points, but still terrified that I won't get in. Good luck everyone!

Hi MoonMayden!

They had two paperwork sessions (one on the 9th and the other on the 10th). You still have over a month before orientation and you're in the top 5 of alternates, so your chances are great! The paperwork seems tedious but it's not that bad! The background check is done online and completed within 3-5 business days. is also purchased online and you get your certificate within 1 day. Do you have your immunization records handy? That will be needed for your physical/health clearance.

You and rippee are in my thoughts - I hope you both get in! Have a great weekend

Does anyone know when the next info meeting is before orientation? I read that some of you did something on the 9th...just hoping to get an idea if they would call alternates before the orientation....I think I'm probably not going to find out anything until orientation and have to do all my background check and physical and everything last minute...but, then I should probably stop thinking!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

The second info meeting was on the 10th. I don't think they will have another one. You will be fine. The office staff will explain everything to you. Don't stress!

You may even hear back before then! I imagine some of the people who have been accepted may decline once they hear back from other schools! Good luck! Quick question for everyone else...what shoes are you buying for clinicals? The only non-porous white ones I've seen are the clog style ones with the enclosed back

Whoohoo!!!! I got called for Fall today!!!! I am so excited my dream is coming true!!! I hope to meet you gals at orientation!!!! Oh and btw amylou, sketchers makes a great pair of memory foam shoes that are non porous! I am currently working as a surgical tech and I stand anywhere from 4-12 hours a day and they are really great! The clogs actually hurt my feet....but you could always try them, a lot of the nurses I work with love them! A particular favorite is Born brand...they are about 60-70$ at Macy's or nordstroms...

Congrats!!!! Super excited for you, can't wait for us all to start! You must be so thrilled :) thank you for the recommendation!

I got in for Fall as well !!! =) Signing paperwork on Tuesday

Congrats everyone! Also, the scrubs run pretty big. The female jacket is true to size, but I have to return the scrubs because they are way too big lol. Definitely suggest getting a size smaller in the shirt than you think you need

Congratulations to everyone!

Ah...thanks for the info! I figured I would need to try the scrubs on, but I feel awkward about going to see the vendor and then telling him I'm going to shop around for lower prices. lol

Did you decide on which shoes yet?

I thought the same thing, so I just bought online :sneaky: The quality doesn't seem to be the greatest for the scrubs, but they're cheap so it'll be easy to replace them! I've barely even looked at shoes lol, I feel like I should go somewhere to try them on. What about you guys?

Did you guys see that we have a quiz on the student handbook at orientation? Hahaha it's already beginning! So excited to meet all of you í ½í¸Š

also, medicalscrubsmall.com has pretty comparable prices to the vendor for scrubs...I purchased two uniforms and lab coat for 116.95 and free shipping.

if you're still price shopping and don't have time to hit the vendor...there ya go!

Where did everyone get for clinicals? I have Fountain Valley on Thursdays for them first one and College on Thursdays for the second.

How did you find that out? I thought we were being assigned clinicals after orientation...
