Saddleback College Fall 2015

Hi there!

I just submitted my application for fall of 2015, didn't find a fall 2015 board so figured I'd start one! Who else is applying? I've seen on previous semesters that people knew the total amount of applicants-anyone know the total amount for this semester or how to find out? I have 85 (possibly 87) points, but still terrified that I won't get in. Good luck everyone!

I got accepted as alternate #4 í ½í¸­

so hopefully not all 60 people will show up on orientation day... I was only invited to attend July 31st.

I guess I get to wait a bit longer!!! Ugh! At least I will definitely have a spot for Spring 2016.

Moonmayden if u are an alternate #4 then count yourself in! A lot of people will decline and then during summer people will drop. I originally declined due to pregnancy. I found out that I was pregnant on a Monday and I got my letter the next Wednesday so I had to decline. I'm going to say congrats to you because I know for a fact you'll get in!

Yay!!! Congratulations!!! Kellie that sounds like a plan! I would post my number on here but they'll most likely delete it huh? Did you guys see that the estimated cost for 1st semester went up from $2k to 2.5k?

Where did you see that information?

Has the total cost gone up significantly?

I believe I had seen the total program cost at around 5K or 6K...

"The expenses for the first semester nursing student can average $2500 or more.The entire program may cost up to $4800 or more. At the completion of theprogram, the cost for the Board of Registered Nursing Application, LicensureExam, Interim Permit, Fingerprinting and RN License will cost approximately$500. "

Thats what hat it says in the handbook. So sounds like it's similar overall but possibly more expensive for the first semester this year?

Where did you guys see the book info? I'm starting to get nervous! We start mid August right? Are you guys starting to buy stuff yet?

I'm not sure of exact start date but we will know more on the 9th. Don't be nervous. We are going to rock it! I think at the info session they will tell us more. Just breathe and enjoy your free time now!

They haven't printed anything about what books are needed... I bought some books to review test questions for nclex

I wish I could meet you ladies on the 9th! But I have to wait until the 31st. I talked with ---------------------- in the HS office and she said that if not everyone accepts by Monday they will call and confirm the spots for alternates! I am VERY optimistic! You guys will be great I'm sure! We all want this so much for our futures, we will succeed!!!!
