Hello! Anyone applying to the BSN program at Sac State for Spring 2023? With how many points are you guys applying? I still have yet to take my first attempt on the TEAS.

I think the alternates had 72..I've been trying to find out also..I'm praying they are not 74

When I looked at the Application Checklist, it said "cut off from last semester was 71", but I'm not too sure if it was pertaining to Fall 2022 or not because that checklist page may not be updated. I'm really worried because I have 71. I don't think cut off would get that high tho. You really have a high chance of getting in I believe

Also, did you attend any of the application workshops? I wasn't able to TT

Gosh I hope I'm 51!! LOL...remember you can only take the TEAS 3 times in 5 years for sac and most other csu's...stay positive and apply to ADN.programs too...I did

No I did not ..I just followed online instructions

What do you mean 51? Sorry I'm not getting it T.T

Ohh that's goodd, yeah I should apply to other schools too.

Also, I hope you're able to see this before 11:59 lmao but I was wondering, on that part on the application where it said to "list all schools attended", did you put Sac State? I know it said "attended" but it also said "including Sac State" so I think I was kind of overthinking it. I was hesitating whether or not I should put Sac State (but I came from CC). I was just thinking if they meant to also include Sac State even tho you're still applying or only if you went to Sac State? LOL

I'm 51 years old...no.I didn't put sac I never went there

Hi, I'm applying for this Spring at 72 points (Would've had 74 if I had completed one more corequisite before the application period ;-; ).

Also, I can see that you're stressed out about having 71 points with all the comments you posted LOL. My honest opinion is that 71 points puts you in an "iffy spot". For fall of 2021 and fall of 2022, the cut-off was 71 points (I asked the workshop person) so you'd be put up against others who are at 71 points and the admission team would put your score against the others according to the tie-breaker policy of non-adjusted GPA, then fewest prereq/coreqs courses repeated, then TEAS score, then military service. Then I believe they would assign you an alternate position, where if someone who is accepted into the nursing program declines, the alternate next in line gets accepted.

Thank you for your reply! Yeah, I really am so stressed out about my score LOL. And yeah, I saw the cut off points from previous semesters and the tie-breaker policy, which made me feel even more stressed out because I literally had 85.3% on the TEAS, which was only .1% difference from getting another 1 whole point. I could’ve gotten a total point of 72 too. So if I ever don’t get in just because of that .1% difference I’d really hate myself so much LOL. On the “good” side tho, I didn’t have any repeats or omitted courses and have a 4.0 GPA.  The only thing I was thinking of again was that, what if the other applicants who also had 71 didn’t have any repeats either? Then that would bring us to comparing TEAS score and I don’t think my score was high enough so :///

I'd just wait for the decision day to come and stop worrying about it. I try my best to not dwell on the "what-ifs" and just focus on the present; it really does help LOL. Good luck!

Hi everyone! I applied to Spring 2023 with 77 points. I applied for fall 2022 as well with 71 points. The cut off was 71. I was number 27 on the alternate list and they stopped at number 20.
