Hello! Anyone applying to the BSN program at Sac State for Spring 2023? With how many points are you guys applying? I still have yet to take my first attempt on the TEAS.
Hey everyone! I literally just received my email saying that I was accepted off the alternate list. It is saying I need to call and reschedule university orientation for this Friday. Do any of you know if it’s online/optional/can be later? I have to put my two weeks notice in tomorrow and I feel bad saying and I’m missing Friday. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Not sure if you need to attend general uni orientation, but the 1/18 orientation is absolutely mandatory for the nursing program. I would call to find out about the general uni orientation on Friday; when I attended as a transfer it was honestly a waste of time. Maybe try to express hardship for the general orientation due to the late notice.
Congrats! The program is great. First and second semesters are very rigorous and require serious time management to get everything done. Clinical placements include UCDMC, Kaiser south, Sutter, and mercy gen.
Enjoy the time off with friends and family before the semester starts in Spring! Once it gets going, things move so quickly you won't have much time for anything else.

Thank you! Glad that you are enjoying the program! I've always heard that nursing school has a heavy workload so I guess I got to mentally prepare for that haha. Are the professors easy to talk to and are office hours a thing in nursing school? Do we switch around clinical placements each semester?
I definitely will spend some time off before nursing school starts! It's going to be exciting but also nerve-wracking at the same time.
