Ah, the reason my score is so low is that I don't have any work/ volunteer experience. My GPA is a 4.0 and my TEAS score is a 92, so I don't know how much more I could improve! I guess I could retake the TEAS, but it is expensive, and I'm worried that I'm going to score lower... Thank you for the kind words though! ☺️

I am in the same situation as you! I have 71 points, a 92.7 on my TEAS, 3.9 non-adjusted and 4.0 adjusted. I have no healthcare experience, and cannot get any in this current state of our country; I don't speak another language, and I hold no other veteran or disability status. There is no other way for me to get any more points besides trying to get 100% on the TEAS (ha!). If 71 points is not enough, I will have to cross SacState off of my list. Good luck to you!

I could be wrong but if they end up admitting 80 students like usual I think anyone with 70+ has a good chance

I really hope that is the case. At 42, I really don't want to wait any longer. ?

I didn’t see veteran or disability status on the optional criteria.

Ahh, you're right! Those are point criteria for some of the community college programs. After so many applications processes, they start to blend together. ?

Chamberlain, Sierra, Sac city, ARC, Modesto, Chabot, San Joaquin, Butte, USF VA partnership, San Fran city..... everywhere within  3 hours of Sacramento LOL I figure I have to get in somewhere. Sac state is my first choice though, hope 73 point will make it.

I hope you get in to Sac State too! And you definitely will have options!

It will be nice to receive word, but I’m trying not to stress too much this time around. Last semester I was on pins and needles all the time, just waiting for any sort of communication.

I went on the Live Chat day before yesterday and they said they still have no idea. They’re still trying to figure it out. They said feel free to keep coming on chat and asking, as they’re not sure when they can send out the email ??

In the live chat on Tuesday they told me last semester that decision about how many spots was announced around 5 weeks after the applications were due. They also said it took about 6 weeks to get decisions on who got in. Again, this was for last semester but it definitely gives a rough idea!

If anyone has applied to Sierra College, they are sending out acceptance letters!
