Hello! Welcome, and Good Luck, everybody applying!

Now I kind of wish I had applied to Sierra. I only applied to Sac State because I wanted to just do the BSN program and not worry about transferring later. Also I was unsure about the whole lottery aspect. But if they're accepting and Sac isn't, I wish I had at least tried. But fingers crossed for Sac. I don't like that it's all just speculation at this point, I wish they would tell us something. But I'm sure they're waiting until they have some concrete information.
Also, I currently have classes in progress, and Heidi had said that if I got in they would just check to see if I passed, so I was less worried about getting As. If I have to reapply for Spring then those classes will be done, so I need to get As. I'd just like some answers. But I know no one has any.

I applied to sierra college and did not get an acceptance email so clearly I did not get in. The raffle system seems difficult to get through with only 40 accepted so do not feel too bad about not applying, a real gamble. The only thing I got from sac was an email saying they can not give a date on when they will let us know about acceptance. So, who knows.

Yeah, I got that email from Sac State too. I just hope they can give us more info soon, as that email was over a week ago. I'm sure everyone's doing the best they can, and will get us the info when they can. But also admission decisions weren't expected until end of April anyway, so I don't know how soon we'll get more info.

WOW! I'm in the same exact boat as you! I only applied to Sac State because I wanted a bachelors degree program. I currently have one class in progress and I wasn't too worried about getting an A because it wouldn't have mattered, as long as I passed. If we have to reapply for Spring, I'll be kinda screwed?

They sent out the acceptance and alternate status emails this morning and those not randomly selected, like myself, did not receive an email. This is for Fall 2020. As an applicant, I never received an email from Sierra that they were halting admissions or extending the acceptance email date. I'm assuming it's because it's in Placer County and perhaps Placer and El Dorado county are still having student nurses participating in clinicals???? Who knows. ?

My friend, who is currently in the program was pulled out from clinicals due to Covid-19! So no Sierra College nursing students are actively participating in clinicals at Kaiser, Sutter, etc.

Weird. Maybe Sierra is optimistic?? I'm going crazy over here overthinking all these possibilities with all these different programs haha

Good to know I'm not the only one. It sucks to be in this boat, though. I'm currently in Microbio and Public Speaking. With everything going on, I'm definitely worried about getting As. I wasn't stressing because I thought all I had to do was pass, since I'm fairly confident in my points. But now I am worried that we will have to reapply.

Hey whats your CSUS email? I wanna email u some helpful info that might help. And yeah I'm super worried too?
I know lots of California students have been calling senators about this, and they had a meeting about it yesterday. I think we should be getting some news soon! If they let current students make up their hours in the Summer, we will be good to go.

Thanks @dnursing2020 it's [email protected]
Yeah, I hope we get some info soon too and they don't make us wait until end of April. I think we're all driving ourselves a bit crazy with the speculation and unknown possibilities.

That's amazing ! I have been emailing Stanislaus State nursing about this outbreak. As far as I know Stan should be sending out acceptance letters but the students will just be starting later . I keep on emailing them to check if that has changed or if there is any new information available. I hope things will work out for everyone in the end !
