Anyone here back from SCC yet?

Specializes in Medical Assistant.

Hello other Spring 2021 admits! I also got the email about our next round of info coming in October. I'm actually pleased about it because it gives me time to prepare.

For those entering in the Fall: when is your orientation? And CONGRATS. ?

Hey Everyone! I am in for Spring 2021! So excited! Hoping all goes well or fall so we can continue to be in the hospitals for clinicals! Any word for Fall on what is happening? Did you guys have orientation? Can’t wait!

I just saw this post LOL I asked the same thing! I’m so ready to get going! I see they only accepted 21 per semester so that’s great still!

I didn't realize that the class size was so small. That's crazy to me! But hey--nice to talk to a future classmate. ?

Hi everyone! I sent in my acceptance form back in may but I never received a confirmation or response email. Should I be concerned about my status of enrollment?

Are you fall or Spring? I am Spring and got an email back saying they would be in contact in October.

I was accepted for Spring! I didn't get any email back ? worrying a bit. I've sent an email to the nursing department and to the director and no response so far. I've also tried calling but I'm assuming no one is on campus right now

Hmmmmm... I would be patient (well I say that but I would be worrying like you) BUT if you sent it in they got it. Maybe give them like 2-3 weeks and then send another “gentle” email just to be sure? I’m sure it’s fine though! Here is the email back that I got:

Thank you for the response form. At this time we do not require additional information. We will send out an updated email to your Los Rios Gmail regarding your official admittance packet in late October. Please check your Los Rios Gmail periodically for updates.

SCC Nursing Program

Hey Everyone-

I created a facebook group for the Spring 2021 Cohort. I just restarted my own facebook as a friend said it was super beneficial during the program. I know we don’t start for a couple months but if you want to add it here is the link!

@KbayThank you so much! I haven't had a chance to get on there yet but I'll do so now. I'm trying to lay low on facebook. It's been stressful to go on there the past couple of weeks...

Hi everyone, I am hoping to get more information about the financial process. For those of you in the Fall cohort, what has been mentioned regarding how you pay? I know the cost for the program but I’m wondering if the cost is divided into 4 payments (per semester) or you have to pay all at once. Thank you in advance!

While I'm not in the Fall cohort I think I can answer this. You pay for the semester each semester. For example, the first semester is 12 units, so you pay for those 12 units at that time. Then when it comes time to enroll for the next 12 units, you pay for those. This is because the program isn't continuous and is broken up each semester. If you didn't pass a semester, then you can't progress onward (and thus wouldn't need to pay for the next 12 units).

Right now, my biggest concern is figuring out how to pay for school since I won't be working full time after the semester begins. I am not eligible for the Pell Grant, either, since I already possess a Bachelor's Degree.

Hey everyone...

this is a question for the current students at Sac City.  I feel so grateful to have a choice of schools as I was picked for a couple.  I am trying to see what Sac City is like?  Where are you doing clinicals?  Are you doing clinicals?  What do the professors have in place to help You continue instead of stopping and repeating (as ARC did).  Any details you have would be so greatly appreciated.  You can message me privately or put it here.  I just need some help!

thank you so much
