Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

So apparently Teri will be sending out updates sometime next week.

I also learned that a lot more people applied for this spring semester than usual.

Hearing that a lot more people applied for spring is discouraging. I suppose many of us would be disadvantaged with the new admissions criteria starting fall 2018.

I've talked with people that got the information

from the school of nursing. I'm not sure if it's true, but considering the fact that they're expecting a very large volume of applicants for Fall 2018, it wouldn't surprise me.

All we can do is wait for an official update. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up with any new information.

Well as much as I don't like the news, I appreciate the heads up. I am so confused as to why they expect such an increase in applicants for the Fall 2018 semester.

I'm not sure why either; my best guess would be that it has something to do with the changes they're making to the system.
