Sac State Nursing for Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

What was the cutoff?

I was referring to the preliminary cut off of 86. I think we won't know the final cut off for this semester until the first week of instruction.

I am in! I'm so excited! Great job everyone, can't wait to meet you guys! #isthisreallife

Congratulations to all who got in! Just curious, is there anyone here that's planning to decline their acceptance into Sac State because it's their 2nd choice program?

Where is everyone living while in school? In Sac or vacaville/fairfield etc

I mean.. I have the receipt from the $35 for the nursing application? Does that count?

Did you contact the admissions coordinator?

What do you recommend buying for school supplies? And what do you use to study? (e.g. laptop, notecards, planner, etc.)

Stick with what you did in prerequisites in terms of how you study!

I have a MacBook that I've always used for a laptop. Lots of people have different things though! I will say there is a ton of lecture notes and printing gets really expensive if you choose to hand write on the PowerPoints. Everything is pretty much electronic so it'll be helpful to have a good computer or tablet! I always type up my notes and then re-listen to lecture and hand write notes on my typed up notes.

Also a planner will be super helpful from the beginning because at first it'll seem overwhelming with all the different dates and times to keep track of. It gets way easier a couple weeks into the semester though when you get the hang of everything!

I'm not sure if they've sent it yet but CNSA will have a list of supplies you can buy from them. I'd definitley get the folding clipboard but skip on the little nurse bag thing because no one uses it!

Thank you! Did you prepare before entering the program? If so, how?
