Sac State Nursing for Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

Why do you have to get an A? I thought that you need a C- or higher for in progress coursework.

That may be true, I don't remember. Didn't mean to scare you if it isn't true lol.

@mom to 3 boys.. I'm sorry you didn't get in. I'm guessing you didnt get extra points you thought you would? I didn't get my extra points which surprised me because I am almost 100% sure I am eligible, but maybe did something wrong. I enjoyed seeing you post and like the poster before me said: maybe there will be more alternates allowed in because of the online format. I certainly hope so!

Thanks everyone for your constant optimism! I correctly calculated my points and will try again next semester along with other schools. I thought a 91.8 on the TEAS was pretty good, but I will try and improve that too, because I will lose my foreign language points.

I'm in as well. Good luck to everyone on the alternate list. Class of Fall 2019!

Congrats to everyone who got in. As alternate number 42, I will not be making it, but good job to all who made it!

Last semester alternate #43 got in. I wouldn't lose all hope yet. You never know how fast that list can move.

I'm on the exact same boat. It will feel good knowing we're accepted so we can start preparing for the program. Gotta buy the uniforms, equipment, get the immunizations in check, etc.

yes, a lot work awaits ...

Hmmm.. I definitely had less points than all you guys, but I never received any email about being admitted or not... any reason for that?

I'm alternate #36, having a total of 82 points. Not to sound repetitive, but I'm still so shocked and sad that with this amount of points, I wasn't accepted right away. I would have been accepted right away if I applied to any other semester!

My application wasn't considered. I didn't submit the $35 evaluation fee. I have no idea where to go from here. I didn't even know there was a fee. My rejection email included an application checklist which showed that the fee was due 10/2, but I've never seen the checklist before. None of the admissions materials I looked at (all of the links on the traditional bachelors homepage) said anything about the fee. But everyone else seems to have known about it. I honestly just...don't know what to do. I don't know how I could have made such a gigantic mistake.

The last check mark you were required to check off before submitting the application was specifically talking about the fee.

I see. Well I guess that mistake cost me my admission. Thanks for the information

Did you get the confirmation that your application was received when you submitted it?

I'm still shocked that the cut off was so high. Hoping it goes down though for the alternates.
