Sac State Nursing for Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

Hmm strange.. it still shows as "closed oct 2nd" on my computer

Sorry, click on the pdf link

The email was just sent!

I hope all of you are above that cutoff score! Update made my day.

I have 88 points, but my anxiety is now taking over and trying to tell me that somehow I didn't get 88 points??

86 is a ridiculously high cut off.

I'm feeling the same way. I calculated 92 points and now I'm second guessing everything. I know the original cutoff for fall 2017 was only 82 and dropped to 77, so a cutoff of 86 for spring seems abnormally high. I know a lot more people applied this spring but still not as many as fall..

I have 82 points, which I felt okay about, but now not at all. It has never increased by that many points in 1 semester. I also don't know how people could have miscalculated when the computer did it automatically.

I have 82 as well, I feel like crying right now :( Again, we are in for a long month!

I am confused by this whole application process. I thought an online system would expedite the application process. I don't understand why they received so many apps and why the points increased so drastically. If they know the point cut-off, then why does it take a week to notify those people. I guess we should hope that about 40 students have 81 points or Sac state is a lot of people's second choice or people somehow misreported their data.

It looks like there are a lot of people who decline (according to the past stats, it'll probably be around 15-20ish). Hopefully we both get in.... I'm a mom to 3 (2 boys 1 girl) so we can go equally crazy trying to stay above water!

I feel like not having the stats/information was actually better than having the stats. All I want now is more information and the next few weeks are going to be agony, especially if we have to wait out the alternate list. Nursing school and 3 kids will definitely require a lot of caffeine!!!

Looking back at the previous applicant pool statistics you can see that there is always about 10+ people "declined." At this point in the application process they have not declined those applicants. Once they thoroughly go through everyone's applications I have a feeling that score will drop a few points ;)

I have 88 points too, so I am hoping that my application went right and that I didn't miss calculate. I agree 86 is an intense cut off and way to close for me to feel 100% comfortable until Nov 27. Here comes a long month of Nov...
