Hey guys! Who's applying for Fall 2012?
If they accept my extra criteria I think I have 73 points. My extra criteria was the experience, I am a perinatal massage therapist at a birth and family center, so I'm not sure if they consider alternative healthcare or not. I guess I'm on the cusp too. And I still have this fear they are going to come back and say one of my prereqs doesn't count or something! Since they already know who they are accepting, I wish they would have just sent the notices out already! Monday seems so far away. . .
xaireel you have 83 points dont you? If you assessed your points right You'll be fine since you are WAY over the cutoff :). I keep worrying that I did something wrong with the application. Mostly I dont want to get so excited and build it up in my head as a sure thing and then be severely disappointed when the letter comes.
ShMorgan you sound like you are pretty safe too, I think they base it on what your job actually entails not on your position as much like the other colleges even if you lose the criteria it sounds like you are over the cutoff. Im crossing my fingers for your acceptance ladies. Good Luck for sure.
Does anyone know anything about what the possible 1st semester schedule will be like?
Oh boy....you are in for some good times! I graduated from there in 2010, and I have to say the first semester is INSANE! I used an UNCalendar to stay organized, and boy did that thing get a workout (You can search for the Uncalendar here...there are several posts and I even took a picture to show how I used it).
Basically, you are scheduled for your classes by the school...you will feel like you are going from class to class to class with no real idea of what the heck is going on for at least a couple of weeks (especially if you are also taking Pharmacology).
You will have a BUNCH of quizzes each and every week...So many that I had to keep a separate list of quizzes...some weeks it was 5, others it was 12...insane!
The schedule is super super confusing, with all the different requirements for each course...I printed out the schedules for each class on different colored paper and kept those in the back up my full-size Uncalendar...as I did each quiz/test/reading/assignment/etc I crossed it off with a highlighter. This helped keep me organized.
My best advice is to get an uncalendar and start filling it in as soon as you can. Each week, plan your schedule for the upcoming week (I would sometimes do my calendar stuff during the super boring lectures...shhhhh!) and keep lists of EVERYTHING! I seriously did not even have time to go to the grocery store until APRIL (started in Spring semester), and that's saying a lot as I am married and don't have kids...it is that busy. I have absolutely NO IDEA how the students with children did it. NO IDEA.
I am not exaggerating when I say I was scheduled for something (class, clinical, clinical prep, homework, studying, to-do lists) 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Enjoy!

I got it too, If I calculated it right I'm on the cusp where if they accepted all my extra criteria I just ease in at whopping 69 if not I've got 66 or 63 depending on what they accept or not... I guess I'll still have to find out Monday. Congrats to those who are a sure thing! Yay!
