Congrats Kaiamc!!! Have you heard anything from the childcare program? Happy there are other mom's of toddlers who will be trying to get through this program too : )

I have not heard from the Childrens Center. I didn't follow through and so I doubt Ill get a spot, I called the center this AM and it didnt sound promising. Ill be finishing up the ASI registration application this week. Not sure what the plan will be for me if we dont get an open spot.

Hey Smokeybear, when I got the email I was so excited I almost lost my dinner as for some reason a gag reflex kicked in for about 15 minutes lol :) .....I know it sounds strange but I was super-stoked despite my physical reaction. I had sort of become used to the idea of waiting until spring and kept telling myself that it was a good thing but the idea of declining the spot has totally evaporated. I dont know if I can say Im ready for craziness, but I am ready to get on with the rest of my life.

Stephenee - it was nice to meet you yesterday. Just checking if you stayed for all of orientation and if so, did you learn anything helpful at the major advising? Thanks!

shmorgan4 - It was nice meeting you too! I stayed until the major advising but was told that there was no need for me to stay any longer since I am already admitted. The only thing I think you may need to know is that nurs 169 covers the writing intensive requirement and 3 units of upper division GE. So if you haven't fulfilled the race and ethnicity course all you need is a course with the + next to it.So......3 units - Nurse 169 (includes WI)3 units - Any course 100 or higher3 units - Area C...If you need R&E it can either be included with the course you choose that is 100 or higher or the course you chose in Area C.

I am so disappointed that our clinical section assignments weren't done yet. Oh well, I guess another week won't hurt. And oh my goodness, the list of expenses just goes on and on. Lol. Sorry, just ranting. Hope everyone's having a wonderful day :)

I feel the same way!! I was eager to know our exact schedules. I was going through all the requirements and it came out to over $500.

So......

Thanks Stephenee! I do need R&E and was bummed I couldn't find any online courses that meet that requirement and the upper GE requirement. Looking at the csus major catalog for 2012-2013 it looks like Vickymarie was right and we won't have to take gerontology 2nd semester. If that's true then second semester only has 11 units instead of 13. That should help. Hopefully we get our schedule soon!!
