Starting this topic for those who applied to Rutgers CRNA program to start 2021.
I applied this year, for my second time. I do not believe invites for interviews have gone out yet but we can talk about updates here. ?

Apparently it's about ~300 applicants, 80 interviews, 24 accepted into the program
May the odds be ever in your favor

Hey all! I am hopping in this, I got an invitation to interview as well! So excited but very nervous. I hear this interview is very clinical/medication based and the admissions panel is rough. I’m currently travel nursing in California(originally from Philadelphia). I would love to know everyone’s plans as far as housing . I hope we all get in, especially to those if you who are applying for the second time, best of luck to everyone!

Anyone contact the school to find out why they weren't admitted? I guess competition was super high this year. =/

I think a lot of us are hopeful that they will add more interview dates but I think this might be it if there were 80 seats. Good luck to everyone, you have plenty of time to study and do mock interviews.

I hear they have a psychiatrist on the panel... IDK how accurate that is though

I’m guessing they are taking people with top grades..... as long as you have the minimum years of experience..... Super frustrating!

My GPA is pretty weak considering how competitive they are, especially for my associates. I went to their open house last year and, when asked, the director mentioned he probably wouldn’t seriously consider me if I continued to do travel nursing. He basically told me he wanted experience from CTICU at NYP or other large teaching hospitals. Rutgers was my top choice so I ended up getting the exact job he mentioned and I feel like that’s prob how I even got an interview..

Yes, I interviewed last year and was accepted. They used the psychiatrist to administer a polygraph test during my interview. The interview is intense to say the least.

Do you think they are still sending the invites for interviews?

I’m just happy to not be stressed about the interview anymore haha. I may have misheard them at the end, but I thought he mentioned we would hear back the 12th? That seems way too soon.. do you remember?
I thought I heard we would hear back end of November
