Starting this topic for those who applied to Rutgers CRNA program to start 2021.
I applied this year, for my second time. I do not believe invites for interviews have gone out yet but we can talk about updates here. ?
Hey all! I am hopping in this, I got an invitation to interview as well! So excited but very nervous. I hear this interview is very clinical/medication based and the admissions panel is rough.
I’m currently travel nursing in California(originally from Philadelphia). I would love to know everyone’s plans as far as housing . I hope we all get in, especially to those if you who are applying for the second time, best of luck to everyone!

The director of the program was kinda rough. Made me feel not really welcomed. I just kept smiling and answering along. I hope this year will be better.
I hear they have a psychiatrist on the panel... IDK how accurate that is though
My GPA is pretty weak considering how competitive they are, especially for my associates. I went to their open house last year and, when asked, the director mentioned he probably wouldn’t seriously consider me if I continued to do travel nursing. He basically told me he wanted experience from CTICU at NYP or other large teaching hospitals. Rutgers was my top choice so I ended up getting the exact job he mentioned and I feel like that’s prob how I even got an interview..

Yes, I interviewed last year and was accepted. They used the psychiatrist to administer a polygraph test during my interview. The interview is intense to say the least.

Apparently it's about ~300 applicants, 80 interviews, 24 accepted into the program
May the odds be ever in your favor
