Hello everyone,
I have interview coming up next month for the CRNA program at Rush University...I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips for the interview? What kind of questions should I be ready for? What's the best way to prepare for the interview? Thanks in advance for all your help!

I have an interview next month at Rush too. I have the same questions. They were pretty vague when I asked them about preparation. What do you think? Email me and we can chat?
I know that there will be two interviews, one personal and one clinical...I did read somewhere that ACLS is very good to know. I don't know what else to do to prepare. What day is your interview, I'm on the 8th. Where else have you applied? Good luck with everything!

Hello. I wanted to check in to see if there were any fellow 2012 CRNA students on here for Rush. I know that there were postings about interviews but I wanted to see if anyone else was accepted as I'd like to maybe start networking (I'm not from the Chicago area and would like to get acquainted with others). Thanks!

RN83, I live in Chicago and have also been accepted to the 2012 program. I'd be happy to help.
Trigirl, Congratulations! I have been looking for full time positions so that I could relocate sooner. I'd like to live in the loop but it is kind of expensive. My email is [email protected]. Are you taking any classes this upcoming semester? Maybe we can email back and forth and next time I drive for an interview/visit we can get together.

Hi Trigirl and RN83,
I have also been accepted for the program next June and would love to talk about classes you plan to take and meet up sometime. I live in Chicago now as well. Hope to be in touch soon!

For those of you that have been accepted to Rush, I saw on another post that one should try to lighten load by taking courses on NP program. Is this true of you have a masters already?
RN83, I just emailed you. Sorry I don't check this site that often.
runaround21, I have been taking classes since last fall, so my course load is a little different if you are just starting to take classes. I have 6 classes left, and then will strictly only be taking Anesthesia courses once we start next summer.
nursiepooh...you are correct in what you read. I was accepted into a different masters program at Rush, so I was able to take quite a few classes prior to CRNA. However, they are getting very frustrated with people doing this, so I'm not sure if they are going to try and change things. How they would..I have no idea. You can take up to 12 credits as an "at large" student, without being in a program.

What was the interview like? I have an interview at the end of the month. Mostly wondering if its one of the high pressure ones or hey check us out ones. Someone told me there is a scenario to go through, is that true?
