  1. Hello everyone. I am relocating due to acceptance to anesthesia school. I was wondering how many accepted applicants attempt to obtain employment in the new state/city and how many actually continue to work throughout the program? I know in the interview process it wouldn't look great to mention that you will be starting CRNA school almost immediately post employment however; when moving to a new area and getting adjusted...it makes some sense. I know there are a great deal of posts regarding loans and funding for anesthesia school but the tuition reimbursement through employers is also desirable. Any input/advice would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Anesthesia secrets and CCRN for sure. The interview is extremely clinically based...worse than the CCRN itself. Good luck.
  3. Trigirl, Congratulations! I have been looking for full time positions so that I could relocate sooner. I'd like to live in the loop but it is kind of expensive. My email is [email protected]. Are you taking any classes this upcoming semester? Maybe we can email back and forth and next time I drive for an interview/visit we can get together.
  4. Hello. I wanted to check in to see if there were any fellow 2012 CRNA students on here for Rush. I know that there were postings about interviews but I wanted to see if anyone else was accepted as I'd like to maybe start networking (I'm not from the Chicago area and would like to get acquainted with others). Thanks!
  5. Thanks :). Rush was my first choice so I'm excited. Now it's just getting acquainted with Chicago and finding an apartment ect. My stats are GPA 3.7, CCRN, TNCC, ACLS, PALS ect. I have 3 years of CTICU experience at a large academic facility. I am from out of state so my BSN wasn't from the Illinois area. Are you from Chicago?
  6. Really well...I start 2012 :)
  7. Yes, for Jefferson in Philadelphia. They emailed me with a scheduled date.
  8. Yes, I interview this month for Spring 2012.
  9. I would definitely recommend obtaining your CCRN. A score of greater than 1000 is usually considered competitive on the GRE. I would also recommend taking graduate classes which will show that you are able to do well in graduate school. Recommendation letters are also important.
  10. Hello. I have an interview at Rush for their CRNA program this week. I was wondering if anyone has interviewed/attended this program and has any insight. Any advice/opinions regarding the interview process/program/clinical sites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Hello everyone. I am relatively new to the forum and was wondering if anyone has heard back from Jefferson in Philly or Rush in Chicago regarding interviews for Spring of 2012. I have all of my application materials in but am not sure how long it takes to receive feedback. Thanks!
