Hello! I haven't seen a thread for Rush yet, fall 21 entry to the generalist entry masters program. I applied earlier this fall and received an interview invite a week or two later. Looking to connect with others!
@nutbutter_girl Same... excited but very nervous. I'm also YouTubing, and answering potential questions. Good luck with your interview!! Don't worry!! You got this! ?
I wonder how many were invited to interview. Anyone else curious too?
How would you guys answer the "what is the most important thing rush has to offer?" question? I am struggling with this
@RoDob I heard about 300-400 students apply but! only about 200 (if I remember correctly?) get offered an interview because their application has all of the elements needed. And then, of course, 76 students get in. So not toooo bad??
@nutbutter_girl I'm actually working through that answer too ATM....I was advised to look at their mission statements.
200 isn't as bad, but still nerve-racking to me LMBO ? What time is your interview? Mine is at 1PM

I wasn't able to attend the GEM First Look Student Panel yesterday due to work. Anyone here who did attend, do you have anything helpful you could share?
One student said to not tell the same story you did in your essay because the person who is interviewing you also read your essay hahaha

I thought that was good advice also! I feel like there may be a tendency to do that. ???♀️ They did mention that they won’t know/decide till May or June if our classes will be 100% online for the 1st term or not. And that we need to quarantine for 2 weeks in Chicago prior to doing clinicals. So if everything was online and someone decided not to move to Chicago right away, they would need to move to Chicago a few weeks prior to starting the 2nd term so they could quarantine.
I took some notes, so if there is anything you have a question about, I can look and see if it was discussed.
One of the students mentioned that it’s a good idea to get setup with a tutor right away. Another recommended getting an NCLEX prep book and start going over questions to familiarize yourself with that type of questioning and corresponding answers. They also recommended practicing your skills (taking vitals) on your family members and pets.

@wgreguol My interview is also on the 5th. Good luck!! I'm planning to attend the info session on the 3rd.
Anyone applying to Rush for the second time? If so, who did you interview with and how did your interview go?
