Just wondering if anyone else out there has applied to the Rush GEM program for the Fall 2012 (September) start date. I already had my interview and am anxiously waiting to hear something from the school! At the "First Look" session they had, I heard from one of the current students that the application pool was really competitive this year. Anyone else hear something like this? Yikes!

@emsykes I am in the exact same situation. I just found out today that I am in for Winter at Rush but I've already started all my paperwork for DePaul in the Fall. Have you made a decision yet?? I am stressing out about it because I think Rush is a better program but I was already content with going to DePaul and starting in a month.
I just am not sure, to be honest. Every day I feel like I have made up my mind- I am going to DePaul- then I start thinking that maybe I will make it at rush after all. I havent heard that the list has moved at all since last time I called, but I am still so far down the list that I don't want to get my hopes up of coming off and then being really disappointed if I end up not making it off. I paid my deposit at DePaul, but right now I am leaning towards Rush because I really like the program and think that I will be better off there than at DePaul. Its a risk because I could lose my spot at DePaul and be stuck waiting until January but I right now it seems worth it to wait 4 extra months to go to a program I really like.
I applied for the Spring (winter) GEM 2013 program and was waitlisted but guaranteed acceptance to the May 2013 cohort. I am currently 3rd on the wait list. I also was just accepted to the Winter 2013 cohort for DePaul's MENP program. After much consideration RUSH has been my first choice, but now not being guaranteed into the January class has me reconsidering because waiting another 5 months to start the program is a big deal for me. Does anyone know my chances of coming off the wait list being that I am 3rd? I know they accepted quite a few people from the Feb application round into our cohort because there were so many applicants, so there weren't even the normal amount of spots. Anyone have thoughts between the 2 programs? I heard you have a better chance at scholarships etc at RUSH than DePaul, but not sure that's true (or that I would even get any anyway). Has anyone ever compared financial aid packages from both?
