So I have been working with rue for 2 'clasess' now. I had troubles with mirco and about to take it again when I learned their mirco and chemsitry are not accepted by accrettied schools. So I dropped Rue and am going to community collage now. But when telling Rue this, they said they accepted by all schools and that if I want to stop going with them thenI am breaking the contract and will have to offer a buy out and settlement with them.
has anyone else heard of this or gone through this?
Thanks

It happens often with people who contract with publishing companies and who then decide that the product is not for them. Do some further research in the distance learning forum, search for "The College Network". Bottom line is a contract is a contract.

Yep ... be careful what you sign, and always always always read the fine print!

Yes, I heard of this.....You have 3 days to cancelled the contract at no cost or strings attach. After, the 3 days are gone by, you stuck in the contract unless you are willing pay out with an settement. Which is a portion of a % of your contract agreement.:redbeathe

Rue isn't a school it's just a publishing company as stated before...lots of money for their "study guides" sorry you are having difficulties with them but yes you will be responsible for the money due!
