Hi
Has anyone entered George Brown or Sheridan as a mature student? Do mature students still need the course prerequisties or do they only have to take the admissions test?
I have a highschool diploma but don't have the required science credits, would I still be considered a mature student? I have been out of school for more than 10 years.
Thx.

I went to Georgian College's RPN program as a mature student.I didn't have the required science credits and I had to get them before I could start. I didn't, however have my high school diploma so I had to pass an additional test in math and English.Other than that I had to meet all the requirements that everyone else did. Getting the science credits was easy, I did bio and chem through the school in a few weeks.
Good luck.

wow... that sounds like a lot of work. But you did it! that's so awesome.
It was worth it. During the course I worked 7 days a week and went to school 2 nights a week.

Yup, the mature student admission criteria real does the over 21s no favours. No shortcuts, just hope.

Sheridan has a General Arts and Science program. It's 2 semesters long, and I believe you can start in May. Check it out. Contact the school. They're pretty good about telling you what you need to do to get in. Good luck!
