RPN where to apply

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hello Fellow students,

I am currently in Pre-health looking to start the RPN program and then once done take the bridging program. I am confused as where to apply however.

I applied for Mohawk for Sept and January intakes - My first choice

now I cannot decide if I should apply for GBC, Cenntenial, Georgian or Sheridan or Humber.

My issues are this:

I live in Brampton but heard bad thin gs about Sheridan for nursing. I also was not impressed during the open house.

Centennial is far for me..like over an hours drive with traffic

Georgian - I an go to Orangeville campus no problem but I am not sure why they have a 5 term program so I would have to wait a whole year before applying to the bridging program and a friend said she got in there but it was cancelled because there was not enough students to start the program.

GBC is downtown so I am worried about the commute - Anyone do this comment currently?

Humber only takes September intake but I won't know if I am in to Mohawk for the fall before tuition has to be paid so I guess humber is out too,.

I also applied for Conestoga in January as that is where I am in Pre-health but I do not like the way they set up the courses, its 1-2-1 schedule so we are done Dec 2021. I get into Mohawk I am done Dec 2020 or April 2021. The latest I want to compete the program is April 2021 so I can do apply to BscN for Sept 2021

I am so confused and don't know where to apply. I am waiting fore second round HOAE testing to find out if I can get into Mohawk.

Mohawk students - what do you think of the program

This is a question you will have to ask the admission office at Georgian College. How long is the bridging program?

It's 14 weeks only 1 semester. It also said you need to join the rpn program the following semester so I think I would have to complete the first semester of the GBC rpn program for GC to allow me to transfer into their program

From my experience the thing about nursing program is that they are quite strict about transferring schools. I think you should email Georgian College and ask if you are able to do what you are planning.

If Georgian College does not allow that, then you will probably have to finish your RPN program at GBC.

Another path you can consider is take the pre health and apply to a couple of RPN programs. Hopefully Georgian accepts you and if not maybe some other schools will.
