Roseman University Spring/Feb 2020

Published

Hi everyone!

The Spring 2020 application period has just opened up! I just wanted to start a new thread for those who are rolling over from the last application period (Fall/Oct 2019) as well as to those who are applying for the first time to share our questions and/or concerns.

Feel free to ask, comment or discuss anything about the admissions process, interviews, and the program itself.

Do let us know whether you're a rollover applicant or first time applicant, too. Good luck everyone!

Im pretty much in the same boat as you. Really can't do anything else but push through and try again next cohort. I've already started retaking a couple courses to boost my GPA's.

Yes that overall GPA is high, but what's your Prerequisite GPA? Also when exactly did you apply? Are you a rollover applicant?

It is NOT all about grades, no matter what they tell you! Sometimes they are willing to take a chance on certain people! I was offered an interview with lower GPA's than what you have mentioned, it also depends on the current application pool as well.

How are you all feeling after orientation? I’m terrified of this 90% passing grade for everything. I’m wondering if I’ve made a terrible mistake in going to Roseman. I would especially like to know about anyone who’s already been in the program for a bit and how they feel about the 90%...?

Don’t be intimidated by the 90%. It is actually really achievable if you put in the work. And they do give you several chances to do so. Group points help out a ton and so does EBR. Our cohort is currently in Block 5 and everyone is passing so far ?

Thank you!!!!!

Hi Cindy,

I just started the ABSN program in SJ. Is that where you're located? If so, I'm interested.

Hey!! I responded to your email! ?

I just took my block 2 exam and have to remediate. How can I get 90% on my own?! I am devastated and wondering if I should drop out before spending a ton more money. Anyone else have to remediate? I put in so much work and feel so upset.

@Brae30 hey, I finished block 5 today and I must tell you that I have remediated almost every exam! I think that you can do it, don’t give up.

Thank you - I really need to hear that. I’m in tears here. ❤️
Is the remediation exam very different than the first exam?

The questions are different but the information is the same. Are you in the ABSN program? If so, listen to your webinars again.

Yes - the ABSN. I feel like we haven’t been taught anything but have to guess and teach ourselves everything. We had zero didactic instruction or test support. The webinar wasn’t very helpful but I will watch it again. I fear this program doesn’t have instructors and we have to learn nursing all on our own. That’s terrifying.
