Hey everyone, starting a new thread for the upcoming Fall/October 2020 Cohort.
Applications just opened up this month.
Curious how many applicants there will be due to COVID-19.
Feel free to post your stats/campus preference and please state if you're a first-time or rollover applicant.
The only books that are included are the ATI textbooks. The laptop is included in the tuition as well as online access to ATI study materials.
You will buy your own uniform, stethoscope and books for classes.
Also, I graduated already. I went to the south jordan campus. I had to move all the way from california even though my first choice was Henderson. I have to admit, the south jordan campus is hands down the better campus. Plus, with the exception of when it snows, Utah is actually very nice.
Do you know how much uniforms/textbooks were when you bought them? I am moving from California (Bay Area) to Henderson so just trying to budget and I'm not receiving/finding a ton of info.
Also wondering how did you like learning online? Did most pass on to the next blocks?
Thank you for replying!

Re: books: You just need to make sure that they haven’t updated the editions being used. I think altogether, I spent about 700 on books (I can’t remember)... I bought my books individually from amazon. The school offers a bundle through elsevier which is cheaper but it doesn’t include everything.
you can get your lab scrubs from anywhere, so it’s as cheap as you can find it. Either burgundy or gray. But your clinical uniform must be purchased from Dub scrubs because it has the school logo on it. And I think it was about 25-30 dollars per top. I got 2
I loved the online learning. You have to be disciplined otherwise it is very easy to fall behind. Most people in my class passed. We had about 4 people not move forward. Those that made it to the end, all passed the ATI exit exam though

Do they have to be a specific color Grey? That is not too bad for tops! That is great for the pass rate. I am excited about this new program but am definitely trying to budget everything needed for it and it is hard when they haven’t sent any more info regarding the program. Thank you so much Michelle!

You will absolutely need a laptop or desktop computer with a camera. I highly advise against using your phone. The interview is about 2 hours long. I recommend you watch the video they provided in the interview invitation email about how to conduct professional meetings online. I spent about 45 minutes preparing my interview space, getting the camera angle correct, and adjusting the lighting.

Hi I’ll be moving from California to Utah as well! Why do you think the South Jordan campus is better than Henderson? Henderson was my first choice as well and I’m a little worried about moving to Utah
Hello everyone! I too have been invited to the interviews that will be conducted tomorrow. I feel prepared but also very nervous. Does anyone have any advice or info on the zoom interviews from May/June that might be helpful? Maybe about the kinds of questions they asked?
I am totally comfortable with in person interviews, but this whole online platform makes me nervous haha.
Stoked for everyone who has already been accepted- hope to join you in Utah this October!

Hey,
im unable to send you a private message so that I can give you my email. I think it’s because I haven’t reached the minimum amount of posts yet. Is there anyway I can get that to you, without posting it publicly?
otherwise, I can see if after I reach 15 posts, if it will let me send a private message.
and yes, it was a specific gray. But I didn’t wear gray. You get to decide on what color you want to wear but you can’t mix the two.

Our instructors were better. If you are doing the ABSN, then you get taught by the instructors from both campuses, since it’s online.
Some of their instructors were good, but majority of south Jordan instructors are way better.
we also had a higher pass rate. I don’t know if that has to do with the lifestyle in Vegas or what. The south Jordan campus has a smaller class size, so it doesn’t seem like you just fall through the cracks.

Does anyone know what exactly is covered in tuition? Books, uniform, stethoscope, etc?
