Long time lurker and finally decided to post something as I haven't seen anything updated in awhile.
I just received my invite for an interview to the Nevada campus for next month. Just wondering how any of you felt about the interviews, the university and the program and any advice you can give for the interview. My transferable GPA I believe is somewhere between a 3.2-3.4 and my science TEAS score is around 92% ( I heard they look at this one the most). Anybody have a general sense of what my chances are? Someone on another thread said if you get an interview you're basically a shoe in.
Unfortunately, I know nothing of the ABSN program, as I applied for the BSN program. When I did interviews, they told us that there were way more Utah spots than Nevada, so I was waitlisted in Nevada, and offered admission to Utah. As for housing, all I know so far is that they will send an enrollment packet around 30 days before orientation (which is around the end of June for BSN). The interviews weren't really that bad, all of the staff that interviewed us were amazing. We also were told that next year, they're changing the way they admit people. Whereas this year and previous years, you got to apply and choose your campus, next year they're starting a thing where you apply and are told which campus you get accepted too. Additionally, this seems like a weird year because they're running applications way later than we were previously told (speaking of the BSN program). After NursingCas has verified your transcripts and the school gets everything, it's okay to send future transcripts to admissions at the school. Let me know if you have anymore questions!
Hey guys, just stumbled across this thread! I'm here in Utah for an interview for the BSN program in South Jordan for this week, does anyone have any information on how many spots are still available?
Hi there guys I got into the Nevada campus originally but just switched to the Utah campus (for the August BSN start). Anyone here starting in Utah?! So nervous!
For those who had the interview on 6/13 at SJ, would you mind sharing the experience such as: questions they ask, interview process, dress attire, how long was the entire process, # of people that were there etcs. Any tips for those who are waiting for the July interview, and questions that you might have forgotten to ask that you would like us to address it during the July interview or have better clarification?
So for the questions I would look at the schools core values and think of situational questions that could be asked along those lines. They are very helpful and do a webinar/conference call a couple days before the interview to better prepare you. Attire should really be business professional. There were several, mostly women, that chose business casual, however, only suits were shown on the webinar as proper attire. The guys were told they could wear just the button down shirt as long as they were wearing a tie due to it being hot but they had to wear the suit jacket if they decided not to wear a tie. The entire process was around 4 hours. You get there 30 minutes before for Check in take a tour, watch a couple presentations, and then do the writing prompt for 15 min. After that, you meet with an advisor and do the interview. You just sit and talk until it's your turn basically. The interview was not as bad as I anticipated. Everyone is very nice and laid back, which helps with the nerves. After that you are free to go or meet with financial aid. Hope that helps!
I just got a call from my advisor saying I was selected for the interview in Henderson on July 18! I'm hoping to get into the Utah campus. I hope everyone else waiting gets news soon. Waiting is the worst.

My stats are similar to yours so that gives me hope! Currently waiting on an interview invite and I'm going crazy. When did you submit your application and everything?

I heard that July interview will be held on Henderson campus on July 11th, 2018.
