Roseman University fall 2018 BSN cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys!

Long time lurker and finally decided to post something as I haven't seen anything updated in awhile.

I just received my invite for an interview to the Nevada campus for next month. Just wondering how any of you felt about the interviews, the university and the program and any advice you can give for the interview. My transferable GPA I believe is somewhere between a 3.2-3.4 and my science TEAS score is around 92% ( I heard they look at this one the most). Anybody have a general sense of what my chances are? Someone on another thread said if you get an interview you're basically a shoe in.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks guys.

/I made some edits. Sorry./

Hello!

So I dropped by, and I'm glad to see you being interested in Roseman! Currently in Henderson, Nevada campus NOT South Jordan, Utah. I'm actually a student right now, and was admitted August BSN 2017. I graduate on 2019, so I have about a year left or so.

I remember getting scared on my interview, and my best advice to you, is dress your best, at least business casual, look presentable. I remember before the interview started, we did an essay and we have 15 minutes. Then after than we take turns on doing interviews. I would say the questions weren't that hard, and I suggest you answer your very best, and be honest.

I got in with a 3.5 GPA. My teas was a 76% overall and I got in. My weakest is my Grammar. My interview was in February, and I know that the interview for BSN ends on April. I know that the earlier your interview is, the better your chances. What matters is what you do in each section of the teas. Sure the science is 92%, but what about your math? your english? etc? Because if the score is low, it could drag. Even if you went through the interview, you still have a chance of improving your score. The school won't deduct your points by how many times you take the TEAS.

I don't know what else to say, my mind is rambling.

If you want to contact me, if any of you guys have further questions, or any interests I haven't talked about here, like the books, the tuition, the people, the community here in Roseman let me know! I'll do the very best of my abilities.

I'd love to help out future BSN in Roseman. Hey, I might even see you on the campus, since previous cohorts do mentor the upcoming cohorts. :)

Hello!

I recently submitted my application the day it became available for the ABSN Fall 2018 cohort and was told by my advisor that I can now wait for the potential interview date. What is the time frame I should be looking at to hear if I made it to the interview stage and how do they notify you, email? snail mail? phone call?

Thanks

Hello, I also have recently submitted an application for the Fall ABSN 2018 cohort. I'm still waiting to hear when the next interview date is/ when we can expect to be told if we got an interview.

Hey guys! I'm happy to find a thread for the October cohort. I haven't submitted my application just yet. I'm just finishing up a prerequisite and plan to apply once I get micro and the TEAS exam done. I just started studying for the TEAS exam. Do you guys have any tips or recommend any study guides? I purchased the ATI study guide this weekend and hope that'll be a good study tool. I look forward to getting to know you guys and hopefully possible classmates 😊. Good luck everyone!

Hi guys,

I applied for the October cohort also.

Does anyone know if you're suppose to send in officials transcript after submitting to NursingCAS and the Roseman Supplemental? I been informed by my advisor to hold off sending in officials until I get invite to interview, but the email from Roseman states: "Interview invitations will only be sent when ALL documents have been received and verified through NursingCAS." Getting mixed messages here and I don't want to miss my opportunity for June interview.

Tentative interview is set to June 13 and invitation for interview is sent out 2 weeks so ~May 30th it will be sent out email.

I highly recommend buying one of the ATI practice exam and screenshoting the test to study from it. Youtube Crash Course A&P, those videos helps tremendously for me since the science part of the TEAS is mostly A&P.

I sent my officials to nursing cas bc i thought we had to, but i remember my advisor saying it wasn't necc at that point. I also took my teas at roseman and am in hopes i do not need to specifically order one sent to nursingcas. It's definitely a confusing process :/

I believe Nursing CAS requires your official transcripts for verification. I too got the response from my adviser to hold off on sending official transcripts to Roseman until/if I'm accepted. She also just sent me an email asking to send the confirmation of the supplemental payment to Roseman and the payment to Nursing CAS. Seems silly since we get a response saying that the payment was processed, and get a verification response from Roseman. Thanks for the tentative interview date!

Does anyone know what campus is holding the interview next month? Nevada or Utah?

I believe it'll be in Utah and July interview is in Las Vegas.

Thanks for the info! Just requested transcripts to be sent to NursingCas.

From all the posts I been reading on allnurses re: roseman nursing, it seems like it will be held at the Vegas location.
