Members are discussing the uncertainty of their application statuses for a new program, with some receiving no updates, others being told their applications are still under review, and some declining admission offers. There are mixed feelings about the communication from the admissions office, with some feeling frustrated by the lack of information and others finding peace in knowing their application status. Additionally, there are questions about study materials, online class structures, and working during the program.
Anyone hear anything yet? Applying this cycle! Didn't see a thread on here for this upcoming cycle.
Tatodorovic said:Does anyone know how big the class is anticipated to be? Can't wait to meet yall! I live in Vegas (since July) so I can try to answer location questions if anyone has them!
I think the first cohort is 20 students based on the info session they had, so maybe the same number.
That's amazing! I'm coming from CA and I'm starting to look where I should move. Any suggestions? Where do you think is a safe area to live that is near Roseman campus and sort of in the middle of main clinical sites for easy driving/access?
QuoteThose who have received an acceptance, what do yoyour stats look? GPA? Science GPA? GRE?
QuoteDo you mind sharing your stats? I was scared I applied too late
Education: cumulative GPA 3.95, science 4.0, no GRE, retook Statistics, Anatomy, Physiology and Chemistry (with labs) all As.
Experience: total 4 years ICU. 1 year adult mixed ICU, 3 years current full time cardiac surgery/cardiothoracic ICU in a trauma level 1 heart-lung transplant and ECMO/eCPR center, I also have a per diem as ICU float pool team on top of my full-time.
Certifications: CCRN, Cardiac medicine (CMC), Cardiac surgery (CSC)
Extra: unit-based projects and leadership, cardiac surgery unit-based awards/recognitions, volunteer experience in my church health ministry, shadowing experience full 12 hours shift, RN-APRN member of AANA and CANA, member of Diversity CRNA, attended conferences and events for AANA, CANA and Diversity CRNA. Good recommendation from my current full time CTICU/CSICU supervisor, nurse practitioner and 2 coworkers. I think they only asked for 2 recommendations but I maxed out the recommendations possible in NursingCAS.
Congrats to those who got in! 🎊 seems like a lot in here are declining so I'm assuming they are going down the list of alternates? I have lost hope. I've been glued to my phone with no phone call. My last name is in the Ns so maybe possible going down the list? I've tried calling and no one answered so I'm leaving it there. 😢 I wonder if they are done calling people.

When I received the acceptance call, I am told wait for admissions to send an email in the next few weeks on the next steps. It may well be in April.
