Members are discussing the uncertainty of their application statuses for a new program, with some receiving no updates, others being told their applications are still under review, and some declining admission offers. There are mixed feelings about the communication from the admissions office, with some feeling frustrated by the lack of information and others finding peace in knowing their application status. Additionally, there are questions about study materials, online class structures, and working during the program.
Anyone hear anything yet? Applying this cycle! Didn't see a thread on here for this upcoming cycle.
I've reached out, and they responded with the same response of "my application is still under review". I don't know of anyone who has received an official rejection, just only the prior post on here. I've been putting more effort into other applications and just plan on applying again next cycle.
Did anyone make a FB group for accepted students? I don't have a Facebook but I'll make one if you guys are on there.
Has anyone gotten any advice as far as study materials like iPads/recording devices? I see some students using iPad Air and the pencil to take notes on lecture slides.
also, does anyone know what the structure of online class portion looks like? Is it zoom live classes or just power points we need to learn? I want them to give us more info on everything
anyone planning on working through the first year?
so many questions 😂

I requested to join the FB group!
I was fortunate to network during the Diversity CRNA event here in SoCal and found someone who knows a student of Roseman's first cohort. I did ask some questions and here is what I found out:
-First 6 months is online classes, then afterwards you need to be in Nevada because hybrid with in-campus stuff starts.
-Some students worked during the first 6 months but some students did struggle because each class is accelerated about 3 weeks in length only and requires 90% pass rate. It gets more difficult when the content are heavy and yet still only have the same timeframe to process everything. She said especially hard when there is anesthesia related content and you need at least 90% on exams.
-Also first 6 months we start simvana, its like virtual reality OR. Second half of year 1 she said they start to get a few months of OR shadow first then once year 2 enters clinicals start where cases are counted towards graduation.
-Most clinicals are in Nevada, some sites opened in CA and AZ too.
Hope the answers I found help get a sense of what school start would look like.

Thank you! This is super helpful. I'm in Las Vegas now. Really hoping to work a little because I apparently never thought I would get in and definitely should have saved more money 😂 I'm a resource nurse in Peds critical care now so I have more downtime than bedside. But obviously it's such a hard decision because I know these classes will be hard. Definitely was thinking having them crammed into 3-4 weeks would be a lot, even though I do love the idea of block scheduling.
I still haven't heard anything about financial aid. Anyone else?

Make sure to do the Financial Aid checklist which was part of the emailed acceptance packet. They also sent us our student emails. For the most part, that's where they communicate now. The financial aid office said financial aid offer letters will be sent out by end of April since they are updating the student website.

I did notice that the office people are rude. I tried calling the other day to ask a question and the one who answered the phone in registrar was audibly frustrated and kept repeating the same thing when I am asking about something else.
Anyways, maybe wait until those offered a seat finish their payment process. It's most likely that some people who get into other programs and decline the offer will open spots.
