Hello! I couldn’t find a thread for this cohort yet and I wanted to reach out and see if there is anyone in the same boat as me. I applied to this cohort as soon as it was made available (I think May 3rd?). I’m from CA and I opted to try for the South Jordan campus. My stats are around 3.5 GPA for science/math and around 3.8 GPA overall with a 94.7% TEAS score. I haven’t received an email yet regarding interviews and from previous threads it looks like I could be waiting until August to receive an invitation, if I am invited at all. Has anyone else heard anything back regarding this cohort yet or any that rolled over into this cohort? Would love to connect with others trying for the cohort, too. This is my first experience with Roseman so if anyone has tips or advice, I’d love to hear it ? Thanks!
Does anyone know of past students who have gone to Roseman and were able to get into good masters programs such as CRNA, NP. I would like to come here but the pass/fail system and not getting a letter grade is detering me. I'm essentially paying for a degree that won't give us letter grades and I don't know how this will help me in the future when I apply to other programs. I know the program said that they will indicate a 4.0 on the transcript if you pass all of your classes but when I contacted NursingCAS they said those classes won't even be factored into our GPA.

I declined my spot for exactly this reason. I think it truly depends on where you intend to apply for grad school. I know which CRNA schools I'd like to apply to after graduating with my BSN so I emailed each of them to ask if they'd accepted Roseman students in the past and if pass/no pass was a dealbreaker for them. A majority of the programs I was specifically interested in said I should shoot for a school that gives letter grades because a pass/no pass grading standard is considered as a 3.0 (at their school) and that it isn't a competitive GPA for these CRNA programs. Not that it's impossible but that I'd be limiting my chances if I put all this effort toward into a 4.0 to only end up with what is seen as a 3.0. So it just wasn't worth it for me, but it is possible. Just depends on where you want to go.

I'm from the Bay Area and was accepted to the South Jordan campus. Does anyone know when we will be expected to be in the area for orientation? That's in person right? I saw something like Sep 27-29. When is everyone moving? I'm stressed!
Thanks!
I’m from the Bay Area too! I just signed my lease on Monday but I won’t be moving until the weekend before orientation 9/24-25. School starts 10/4 I believe so make sure you’re moved in before then. A lot of apartments are getting booked, some have move in oct. 7 but if you sign soon enough you can communicate with the leasing offices and they can get you in a few days earlier, confirm before you sign the lease!
Hi!
Thanks for the info! I'm looking at a few apartments now. I just spoke with the admissions person and she said to plan A tentative 8-5pm for the 27-28th on campus then we go back October 8th or 11th for two weeks on campus with an 8-3pm schedule. I'm trying to find info on elementary schools/after school programs also. I hope they aren't big on sending us to school on snow days! ?
Hi Jordan,
I am! Are you? This is all so stressful and I didn't even have Utah on my radar until they sent the acceptance letter. I'm trying to learn as much as possible in this short time, school starts now I guess LOL. I hear Daybreak is a good area and I'm planning for the weekend before, so 9/25. Didn't they mention a roommate log? They should send out a list of apartments in the area. Funding this is stressful for me too! I'm nervous about buying snow clothes and things to get snow off my car. I've only been to Lake Tahoe for a few days in the snow so I'm not used to it at all! I'm scared!

Did you get an actual acceptance letter? I’ve only gotten emails from them and was wondering if anyone has gotten mail from them yet

I'm waiting for replies back from admissions to help clear up some things..
Email me, I think communicating through that would be easier [email protected]
