Hey! Yeah, I was able to get someone off the cohort Facebook group to email me the list and I directly emailed the director of the clinical resources to see what was going on... Not sure what is happening, but I keep checking back on this forum to make sure I didn't get left off the orientation email list too haha.

Man... Orientation is next week and I have yet to receive any information... Quick question for those in the program, I have the schedule for the didactic and clinical, but are we really not physically at school for the first whole month until the first round of clinical starts?

You will have on campus stuff to do (exams, labs). Exams and labs aren’t listed on the schedule in the enrollment packet. You will get a more detailed calendar for each class a couple weeks before it starts.

I emailed the clinical director for information about the orientation 10 days ago, but I never received a response. So, you haven’t missed anything on that end.

For those of you attending the program in Henderson, here’s a tip for the background check.

Once you order the background check, you’ll get an email about the Nevada Child Abuse form. Once you open the attachment, you’ll see two forms. Look for the form with a title along the lines of, “Child Abuse/Neglect Screening.” At the bottom of that form, there is a section asking for “name of person/title of person (...),” “signature,” “agency name,” etc. Call American DataBase, and explain you need a supervisor to fill this section of the form out. The supervisor will fill this section out for you and then email you the completed form as a PDF.

Once you get the completed form from the supervisor, fill out the rest of the form as it best applies to you.

I hope this helps someone! I was unsure how to fill that section of the form out and didn’t want to leave it blank. It already takes a while to process this part of the background check, so I didn’t want to chance the blank section causing a delay.

In case you guys either haven’t seen it or haven’t received it, an email went out regarding the orientation.

If you’re at the Henderson campus, orientation is June 26th and June 27th from 8AM to 5PM. (Yes, you’re required to attend both days. I double-checked with my advisor.)

ID badge pictures will be taken on the first day of orientation.

Dress code is casual but still professional.
