  1. @paisling Thank you for letting me know that! That’s good to know that getting vaccinations again won’t pose as a problem. By the way, thank you for all of your help thus far. You’re awesome.
  2. @paisling Did anyone in your cohort have to get their vaccinations again and were able to be cleared for clinical rotations?
  3. @AT991 @Lburkhart @gja In case you guys either haven’t seen it or haven’t received it, an email went out regarding the orientation. If you’re at the Henderson campus, orientation is June 26th and June 27th from 8AM to 5PM. (Yes, you’re required to attend both days. I double-checked with my advisor.) ID badge pictures will be taken on the first day of orientation. Dress code is casual but still professional.
  4. For those of you attending the program in Henderson, here’s a tip for the background check. Once you order the background check, you’ll get an email about the Nevada Child Abuse form. Once you open the attachment, you’ll see two forms. Look for the form with a title along the lines of, “Child Abuse/Neglect Screening.” At the bottom of that form, there is a section asking for “name of person/title of person (...),” “signature,” “agency name,” etc. Call American DataBase, and explain you need a supervisor to fill this section of the form out. The supervisor will fill this section out for you and then email you the completed form as a PDF. Once you get the completed form from the supervisor, fill out the rest of the form as it best applies to you. I hope this helps someone! I was unsure how to fill that section of the form out and didn’t want to leave it blank. It already takes a while to process this part of the background check, so I didn’t want to chance the blank section causing a delay.
  5. @gja I emailed the clinical director for information about the orientation 10 days ago, but I never received a response. So, you haven’t missed anything on that end. Here’s to hoping we hear something soon!
  6. @AT991 Did you get the email about clinical supplies and textbooks yet? I saw a second email went out explaining some people were accidentally left off the mailing list. If you didn’t get the email, I can screenshot the textbook list and the supplies list and post it here.
  7. @Lburkhart Same! I sent an email as well regarding the orientation schedule. I have yet to receive a reply. If I do receive more information, I’ll update you. @paisling Thanks for that information!
  8. @AT991 I received the packet that contained the course schedule, textbook list, and clinical supplies list. I haven’t received any information about the orientation other than it’s taking place during the last week of June.
  9. @Hopeandprayer I had questions regarding the requirements to be cleared for clinical rotations, so I received the info packet ahead of time. According to the packet I received, it states the drug screen will take place before the first clinical rotation. Roseman will assign you the date and time for your drug screen. I hope that helps!
  10. @StressedE Hi. I’ll be in the ABSN program in July at Henderson. I’m assuming the process of accepting the admissions offer is the same, so I hope I can offer you some help. Firstly, the direct deposit form is for financial aid to directly deposit your financial aid funds to your bank account. In other words, you won’t be receiving a physical check from them. With that said, go to: https://20080.thankyou4caring.org/pages/nursing On the right hand side, you’ll see a link that says “Home – Login.” Click that. In order to login, use the credentials you used when you first applied to Roseman. Once you’re logged in, the offer of admission form should be under “College of Nursing Admissions.” (It’s disappeared from my account, but I’m 90% sure it’s there.) You’ll need to complete that. If my memory serves me right, that offer of admission form is also where you upload your two forms of ID. Lastly, click on “Bursar’s Office.” The registration & payment agreement form is under there. You’ll have to complete that, too. If you did everything correctly and completed everything that needed to be completed, you should get three emails within 1-2 days after you completed everything. There should be an email acknowledging offer of admission form, an email acknowledging your registration agreement form, and an email stating your admissions packet has been received. Also, if you applied for financial aid and/or need private loans, you should be getting an award notice from financial aid about 5+ days after you’ve submitted all of your forms. I know I wrote a lot of information, but I really hope it helps! Congrats on your acceptance. Best of luck!
  11. @AT991 Congrats! I’m sorry you didn’t get your location choice, but I’m happy to hear you were accepted. I wish you the best!
  12. @dd1031 I reached out to an advisor about a question regarding my transcripts and received a reply from her. That’s the closest I’ve come to hearing from an advisor since accepting my invite. During my interview, one of the advisors said that we’d no longer be in touch with the advisor who helped us with the application process. Instead, we’d be in touch and start receiving updates from the advisors present at the interview. I don’t know if that’s accurate or not, though.
  13. @Khaleesy Hey! I had taken a non-nursing course and asked my advisor if it were necessary or not to submit the transcript for it. She recommended I submit it anyway. So, I would double-check with your advisor to be safe. Good luck!
  14. @paisling OK, that’s good to know. Thanks so much for the info!!
  15. @paisling Would it be possible to give any information on what clinical supplies are needed? For example, can you purchase your own stethoscope, etc.? Or, does Roseman require you to buy a package from them that contains the required supplies? The email says the supply list will be released a month before orientation, but I was looking to get ahead on purchasing things now w/o having to do it during my move to Nevada. Thanks in advance!
