ROSEMAN UNIVERSITY ABSN FALL 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Application period has just opened for the October cohort so I figured I should start a thread to see how many people are interested right now!

All questions, comments, and concerns about the program and interview process are welcome to be put down below in this thread.

@roseyvo I guess I will just have to rush my stuff so it gets verified in time. I asked them so many times months in advance and I got no direct answers.

Where are you from?

Omg, me too....that's why I have to do the rollover because I had everything ready to go for Summer, but apparently my adviser didn't...I live in Las Vegas

@roseyvo Ok so you are close! I live in Cali, hopefully all my stuff gets through and we both get invited to first round. What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?

I moved from Cali a few years ago!! I think my adviser said I have a 76/100 but that could go up if I get an interview and pass...I only got 74 on my TEAS

@roseyvo I believe I have around that same score. It’s coming up soon, I’m nervous about the invite. I’m really hoping that my NursingCAS stuff won’t hold me back because everything else is turned in and ready. I’m also nervous about the 90% but heard it’s not as bad as it seems.

Good luck!!!! ? I am sure it will work itself out

@roseyvo Yes, good luck to you too!

Hi guys, I just spoke to my advisor today as well and will submit my application tonight. I'm from California and I am just so tired of waiting to get into a nursing program. I know this program is expensive...out of curiosity how are you guys going to finance your education at Roseman?

Also, have you guys heard how this school only gives pass or no pass credit? Does anybody know how this affects future pursuits in an MSN program?

Also, I've heard so much of this program is online...is there anyway I could still live partially in California and rent a room in Las Vegas? lol I love my apartment and life in Cali :( (bf, cats, fam, flexible job-and I substitute teach)

I read in another forum of some girl traveling out of the country and going back home several times...Driving to LV is a 7 hour drive for me...but honestly I would be happy to maintain my life here in California.

BTW, my stats are

Last 60: 3.73

Prereq:3.4

Teas: 86%

From my understanding even though the book portion is online, you may have study sessions or do group work with your mini-team within a cohort. Office hours or in person tutoring if needed too is on campus. Also I'm not sure how clinical scheduling works, but I would hate to drive 7hrs last minute. Did you ask your advisor?

Ha no. They’ll highly advise I live in Las Vegas. Lol. But I mean if I can come home for even 4 days a week I will. I had a friend who does that but she lives in DC and she always goes to Mexico and California. I know it’s crazy, but it’s doable ???

Hey more power to you. I live 3 hours from Vegas, but it would just be too much back and forth for me.

Yes, it is a pass/no pass program in which you have to get a 90% on all exams in order to move on to the next one. Sounds hard but it means that all graduates will end up with the a 4.0 GPA by the end of the program (-:

I am from also from Cali (San Jose) but I hate commuting, so I would most likely be trying to find some housing in Vegas if I go here! If yall need roomies I will be looking haha
