I would like to hear from students of this program, do you recommend it? I can't imagine doing the didactic portion of a Nursing program online and then coming to campus/clinical sites for the rest of the program. Are students graduating from this program confident of their nursing skills and then going on to successfully pass the NCLEX?
I talked to the admissions office at Roseman and they said that the program was regionally accredited. I also found out that this program is a COHORT, so I suppose the program is sort of experimental.
I would love to hear from current or graduated students of this program.
Thanks!
Hello!
I am working on applications to ABSN programs and came across Roseman..I read through some of the comments and kept help but be skeptical. I see that it is a HARD program, but is it doable? Like, did a lot of people drop from your cohorts? What was were your GPA's like before entering the program? I am willing to work hard, but I am not sure if getting thrown at after not getting a 90% is worth it....Please elaborate! Was the overall experience good? Are the professors helpful? Were you stressed out the whole time, or were you ok sometimes?
Thanks!!
No I haven't applied yet. After hearing how the lectures and grading is structured, I may wait until July 2015 to see if I can get into any other schools. I'm a self-starter and proactive in studying, but it seems unrealistic that a 4.0gpa is required if the professors aren't available for help and if the online lectures are not informative. I heard the lectures are power points with voice overs and if you do understand the material you are told to read the book. With a large wealth of knowledge, I would need professors to clarify what is and what is not important.
@allycat707 I spoke with someone who works there and she explained how they make it possible for people to do so well in each class. Like, there are 5 chances each test to get that 90% or above. And, you have one class at a time, like lecture and then you take your final and hopefully pass and then you start the clinical for that class. So you are never doing more than one thing at a time, which is nice.

Ykieu,
After you have a certain number of posts, you can click on someone's image icon and it will take you to a screen with the option of sending that person a PM. Don't remember what the number of posts is, or if they still have that rule... haven't sent a PM in awhile
