Roseman ABSN February 2024

Published

Hi! I haven't seen a thread for Roseman's ABSN February 2024 so I thought I'd create one. I just received an interview invite today and my interview will be in a few weeks, I am so nervous!

Run. Don't do it, people.

I feel like the 90% isn't unobtainable, the issue is everything else.

What other issues have you found with the program? ?

Just curious for the hybrid program how often are we are on campus or which hospitals we will be doing clinicals in. An apartment I found today is about 25 min away is that too far or should I look closer?

It depends on the blocks. Blocks 1-2 you won't be on campus much until exams. For block 3 you will be on campus for a full 4-5 days for labs. Block 4-and beyond you will be on campus more often. Clinicals can be anywhere. They are usually 30-45 mins away and very early in the morning.

It depends on what type of learner you are for the 90 percent. I've had to reassess twice. I

Hi! Does anyone mind sharing what books they had for block 1 and 2? I'm going to be working until the beginning of block 2 and then will be moving so I wanted to get a head start that way I'm not stressing trying to balance everything when the time comes. Thank you!

This is in regards to the Henderson campus. If you can self teach, then you will be okay. The professor aren't knowledgeable about the topics they teach, most of them aren't helpful at all.  Many of them contradict themselves. You have to rely on other resources and especially the textbooks because the professors and power points given don't always go over everything you need to know. Almost all the professors read off the power point slides verbatim and give no additional details. Power point slides and exam questions are noticeably not proofread. If you want to attend this school, I would recommend the South Jordan Campus over Henderson. If you do attend the Henderson campus, make sure you reference the text book and go with what the text book says and not what the professors are telling you because they tend to give you the wrong info.

All the books are given to you online, included in the tuition.

It honestly depends on the professor. When I read the book for certain professors it didn't help but the PowerPoints did. And some you have to do both. What I've learned is it's literally what they say in lecture and the PowerPoints. The book hasn't been helpful for me moving forward unless the professor who is teaching states read the book for the topics they teach.
